Greater than one weekThis thingy is tiny and so far 100% reliable. The ability to power the device with PoE is darn convenient.

> 3 dayI procrastinated buying this for almost a year and am now kicking myself for not buying it sooner. * If you are new to Unifi I recommend getting the Cloud Key sooner rather than later * Easy to setup for anyone who has never set up a Unifi controller and even easier for those who have. Instructions are well written * When I ran the controller on my PC it would always crash after running for several hours and then I would have to restart it. No matter how many times I reinstalled it, it would still crash. So this key will totally eliminate that hassle * Ive now setup four separate Unifi networks for myself, work and family members. I will now be recommending that they all get a cloud key for easier management and control over their networks * Be sure to install the Unifi app on your mobile device, it will give you an easy way to check on your network wherever you are **Note** If you are running a controller on a PC/Mac already, and are switching over to the Cloud Key make sure you have a recent backup so the transition to the Cloud Key is seamless. **

> 3 dayIf you are needing to manage 1 AP or whole networks, the cloud key is a must, should be bundled with every single AP install.

Greater than one weekIm a huge fan of UBNT products, but this is far from their best work. Every deployment Ive done with one of these has experienced a fatal issue at one point or another. In some cases its a corrupted DB, in others its bad firmware, but in most its just a unit that wont come back online after a power failure. UBNT has a new line of CK devices, but Im hesitant to even try those after my experience with their first iteration. Do yourself a favor and run UniFi on anything else — stay far away from this device.

> 3 dayI purchased from Amazon in June. Its October and I have been working with Tech Support since purchase. I quickly learned Im not alone after searching for the issue I have... The cloud key I purchased goes offline after about 2 days and the only way to access it is to reboot. I isolated the key in my lab with a basic network and still have the same results. Tech support emails me small troubleshooting snippets every few days to try. The latest they are telling me to do is PRUNE the Cloud Key. This involves running extensive database scripts. Still no luck. I had no issues running the controller from a windows laptop but just wanted a better solution. I love the concept of the Cloud Key but until they resolve the issue of it going offline I would stay away. Going back to the PC controller for now. Good luck.

Greater than one weekThis device is a great product to provide you with local and remote control of a network and the devices on it if you are using the UniFi system from Ubiquiti. It eliminates the need to run the controller software on a dedicated system in the environment, as well as adds the ability to logon to the Ubnt website and connect remotely. There are other ways to do this that are provided in software from Ubiquiti but this lets you use a low power embedded device to do it for you. Setup was super simple. I plugged it into my other Ubnt hardware, after a boot up time it appeared on the website and I could configure everything and be off and running. It has a provided ethernet cord, but I wish it was a bit longer. In my environment I was using their 24 port POE switch and the cord was extremely short to balance the Cloud Key on top of the switch. Its not a big deal and easily replaced as cables are everywhere but just something to be aware of if you dont want it right on top of the switch its plugging into
