> 24 hourThis was called a travel umbrella, I guess because it has a cover that can be slung on your shoulder by a strap? It is HEAVY. I live in the desert, I need a sun blocker when I walk my dog. After 30 minutes of holding this my hand/arm were very fatigued. It is way too big and way too heavy for a brisk 30 minute walk. I did jot want to buy the smaller umbrella because it had a really cheesy handle. An expensive blunder of a purchase. It did block the sun but impossibly heavy. Not for daily dog walking.

> 24 hourVery sturdy And well built. I get nothing but shade underneath the umbrella. Sun protection 100% - it’s the reason why I brought it- it does that job!

> 24 hourGreat umbrella for sun and rain. I had a melanoma and I am extremely protective of my skin. I took a recent trip to Hawaii and brought this umbrella. I kept me protected and cool. I used it everywhere--even in the pool. I even dropped it in the pool and while it sunk to the bottom, it survived without a problem. It also worked in the rain and wind. It is not as compact as some travel umbrellas, but fit in my suitcase.

> 24 hourthis is a quality, sturdy umbrella. Have used it in sun and rain..tennis and cross country viewing with children. A tiny bit bulky but bought another light weight one which fell apart. Think this one is pure quality. Thank you. Worth the cost for sure.

> 24 hourThis is the absolute perfect umbrella for blocking out the sun. I take it everywhere and it has a nice cover with a shoulder strap for carrying indoors. The handle does not cramp up my hand when holding it on our long walks - talking 10K steps. I like the plastic covers on the metal spines, so there is no danger of poking anyone. People stop me all the time asking where I got this. This umbrella also handles well in the wind. We get a lot of sun here in Phoenix so I am looking forward to using it this summer. It is cooler under the umbrella too. I really like the fact that Im not wearing hats anymore - leaving me all sweaty with hat hair. I have used it every day since my purchase and it is now my constant outside companion.

> 24 hourI love this umbrella when it’s raining or if I don’t want to wear a hat on a sunny day. The vents let the breeze pass through, making the umbrella easier to hold onto. The folding mechanism is sturdy and easy to handle. Definitely recommend!

> 24 hourIm giving this five stars because it blocks the suns rays beautifully -- but, I wish it came in a feminine design! I wound up returning it because it was a little large when folded up -- not really a demure look when carrying it around shopping, etc. I will still probably buy the compact version, but only use it if I have to walk a long distance, etc. I feel bad saying this, but I was a little embarrassed carrying it! It just does not have the pretty factor! They would have such a massive hit on their hands if they made the compact version more aesthetically pleasing! Do something cute with the silver, loose the text and the logo and add some feminine touches! As I said, I will buy the compact one, but will only use when I have to! Other than my silly complaints, its an awesome umbrella and protects your skin superbly.

> 24 hourI was skeptical that the umbrella shielded the bearer from the sun such that it is cooler by 15 degrees under the umbrella. While I didn’t check with a thermometer, this certainly felt true. The umbrella blocks the sun very well and the only drawback is that it is so sturdily built it is almost too heavy and large to be a travel umbrella. I am planning on buying more.

> 24 hourA great umbrella! I bought this for our family trip to Disneyland when I found it was going to be triple digits there. It was like carrying around my own portable shade. It was very windy when I was there and I had no issues with it blowing inside-out like some people experienced. To maximize the cooling effect I wore a Frogg Togg cooling cloth as well. It is heavier than I expected and the handle feels a little awkward so I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.
