> 24 hourI live in a small one bedroom in NYC with a very overactive radiator, so my bedroom can get very hot at night. This thing set in the corner and angled up toward the ceiling in the direction of my bed is so cooling. For the size it’s so powerful. Really pleased with it though it is louder than I’d prefer. Like a loud wind sound, not necessarily a mechanical sound. If you like white noise it might even be pleasant. I like white noise but think it’s still a touch too loud and wear earplugs to dull the sound a bit (and generally city sounds, the radiator, etc) to a volume that I do like. Overall I’d recommend it.

> 24 hourVery pleased with this. It is very effective in circulating air around the room, and takes up very little space. It does make some noise, but for me thats a positive--it doubles as a white-noise machine.

> 24 hourIve got one of those rooms thats just horribly hot in summer, and frigidly cold in winter, so when I read about something that could help normalize that, I was quite excited! I put in an order almost immediately to see if it really could help me feel a breeze throughout the entire room, and cool it down a few notches when Im running some of my more power-hungry electronics. So, did it live up to the hype? It took me a while to get it set up. I mean, sure, most fans are easy- you just plug them in and turn them on. The Vornado 660, however, has specific instructions that, depending on season, tell you specifically how to arrange it for maximum efficiency. My room is a bit... complex, however, and finding a sufficient flat surface required a bit of creative thinking. Once you find a spot that SHOULD work, wait a couple minutes- it takes time for the air flow to normalize. After finding a spot that worked for me, I started playing with the settings to see what worked best. The first setting really is damn near silent at times- if my window is open, my TV is on, or theres any other sound in the room, I cant hear it. That being said, this setting is also fairly weak with my setup. It still helps keep the room cool, but obviously its not as strong as some of the higher settings. The second setting is also pretty quiet- when the computer or a gaming system are running, I usually cant hear then fan over them. Its a better setting for active cooling, but I dont foresee myself using that setting very much. Settings 3 and 4 are where it gets interesting. Setting 3 sounds like a standard fan- youll hear it as long as youre not blasting music or a movie or something of the sort. However, its in this setting when I started really feeling it! You could see the breeze throughout the room, and there was a noticeable temperature drop. This setting is perfect for when its just getting too warm. Keep in mind, none of these settings actually MAKE the room cooler- this isnt Air Conditioning- but with the air moving it will FEEL a lot nicer. I havent had much chance to use the Turbo setting yet, but when I do, it shows. Anything in the room that can be moved by a strong breeze will start to move, and youll feel it in a much more obvious manner as well. I look forward to giving it more of a chance in the warmer months. For those who have eyes that dry out easily, this might not be a great fan for you. Having the air move around dries my eyes out pretty fast when on settings 3/4, but 1/2 are usually fine. If you just use the higher settings for sleep, it wont be an issue. The only other issue is that yeah, sometimes its going to take some time to figure out what spot works best for this fan. All I can say is, have patience. Take your time, try it in different locations and pointed in different directions. This is a great fan, and it definitely deserves an opportunity to show you.

> 24 hourVery powerful fan. The air is very cool so its the next best thing to having an air conditioner. It seems a little pricey compared to other fans but you will definitely get what you pay for.

> 24 hourIm quite fond of the Vornado brand. They try and make a fan at all price points. Unfortunately, as the fans get cheaper, so does the quality. This short review focuses on the 660. At $100, its pricey. This is not a cheap fan (Air Circulator), but worth it at this price point. The shiny plastic casing is nice, but a dust and finger magnet. The fan has 4 levels. high turbo ( 57-56 watts ) @ 584 CFM, with a manufacture rated 54db high ( 45 watts ) medium ( 36 watts ) low ( 30 watts ) @ 257 CFM, with a manufacturer rated 35db. Fan blade is measured at 10.14 inches. The brushless motor is quite beefy, yet efficient. On the lowest setting, you can barely hear the fan, yet it moves a nice stream of air. For those of you who can not install a ceiling fan, this works just as good. The fan is not quiet on high, yet it does move quite a bit of air around. The control layout on top is nice with a beep on every button push. This is great for when its dark. The base is sturdy, and having the adjustable chrome glide lets you tilt the fan a full 90 degrees, helps you aim were you want the air to go. Most complaints are directed at when you first turn on the fan. When the fan is off, and you turn it on, it defaults on high (turbo). I personally do not care for this, but it is not a deal breaker. The rubber feet on the bottom of the unit do tend to come off on rugs, but are easily to put back on. Power cord might not be long enough for some users. Its only 6 feet. Despite my minor gripes, I was so happy with my first 660, I now have two. 5 out of 5 stars.

> 24 hourI have a 300sqft studio and it gets stagnant. So I needed room circulation for general, coolness at night, and appropriate noise levels for both. Levels 1&2 are good for air circulation with VERY low noise level so I can keep it going and not have to yell to talk to someone. At 3 it does kinda start making sound but still pretty good. 4 or high blows well and produces enough background noise to drown out a lot most sounds at night as I sleep. Very happy with this purchase!

> 24 hourI would highly recommend the Vornado fan. I have had one for several years and I needed another one for my living room. The model 660 is so quiet and circulates air so well. Please don’t hesitate, you’ll be satisfied.

> 24 hour2 weeks after I got this fan, My Alexa randomly stopped recognizing the device and I couldnt get any of the voice commands to work. It started working again though when I replaced my router off from the basic one version gave me to a better one. if you have slow internet, I wouldnt recommend getting the device with voice commands.
