A necessary upgrade for your adjustable clippers. The basic all-plastic gaurds are terrible, too pointy, dont stay on the clipper well, easy to bend and break, barbacide is really hard on them. The premium gaurds fix all those issues. Only one complaint. The 1/2 and 1-1/2 gaurd should come with the set. Shears are easier than gaurds over 3/4 so I would consider the large gaurds more specialty than the fade gaurds, just my 2¢.

Always a great quality guard

I previously bought another brand. Clipper was OK, guards flimsy. I broke all guards within a year and couldnt find replacements. I bought two sets for these to make sure I wouldnt run out. That was a mistake... The first set should last years and outlast the clippers. Hoarder much?

Are solid

Having been a Master Barber for 32 years you can say I’ve tried everything available in clipper world. As far as I’m concerned Wahl Senior Clippers with the “Professional Black Clipper Guards” WITH metal clips, are my go-to when fading. This along with a Andis t-edger and you will be the king of the fade and line-up. Now go out there and make it happen.

The guards are great but I only wish they came with the half guard and the 1.5 guard

I’m giving them 5 stars, the combs are really nice. I was going to return them because I didn’t read the review closely, the combs are for humans and I needed them for grooming. Sellers were totally down but I decided I would gift them.

Absoluetly love these guards! Ive dropped these numerous times while switching sized and not even a crack on them. Ive been cutting hair for years and these are easily the best Ive had. Regular guards that often come with the clippers and or the ones you get from sallys are fine but will break overtime or if you drop them. These have been holding strong for years! Getting ready to buy a 2nd pair for my travel pack.
