A necessary upgrade for your adjustable clippers. The basic all-plastic gaurds are terrible, too pointy, dont stay on the clipper well, easy to bend and break, barbacide is really hard on them. The premium gaurds fix all those issues. Only one complaint. The 1/2 and 1-1/2 gaurd should come with the set. Shears are easier than gaurds over 3/4 so I would consider the large gaurds more specialty than the fade gaurds, just my 2¢.

I previously bought another brand. Clipper was OK, guards flimsy. I broke all guards within a year and couldnt find replacements. I bought two sets for these to make sure I wouldnt run out. That was a mistake... The first set should last years and outlast the clippers. Hoarder much?

1. The Professional Premium Guides use steel springs to hold guides in place. My old guides had a plastic catch that tended break, making the set incomplete and useless. 2. The guide sizes are permanently marked on the guides. I had to mark my old all-plastic ones with difficulty. 3. The guides have their unique births in the special storage box, making it easier to find and store the guides.

My wife cuts my hair and has been using the wahl color coded ones, which after awhile the secure clip broke on a few of them. We replaced them with these and not only do they secure better and very less likely to break they actually feel way better when she cuts my hair and theyre much more accurate when going up or down in sizes. Dont hesitate and buy these if you have a wahl shaver.

The kit does not include 1/16”-1.5mm, 3/32”-2.25mm, 3/16”-4.5mm.

I was using the regular guards with the plastic tabs to hold onto the clippers and was having a horrible time at the barber shop. They would stretch out and fall off in the middle of a haircut, etc. Finally bought this set (plus the additional two guards .5 and 1.5) and I love them! Theyre more sturdy, the metal clips are very secure on the clipper and I can cut much faster. I dont have to worry about them falling off or trying to hold the guard onto the clipper while cutting. Mine fit my Series 9 Wahl perfectly.
