> 3 dayWe used this product with a baby gate at the top of some stairs. The gate wasnt quite wide enough, so this product created a perfect fit and stabilized the gate quite well. I for sure thought that no matter what, this was going to take some paint off the walls. The townhome we live in has what Im going to call, fragile walls. You even look at the paint wrong and it chips off the walls. I just removed the baby gate today and to my surprise there was absolutely no damage to the wall, paint, etc. Great product!

Greater than one weekI love this product. It adds more cush to protect my walls and this was super easy to use. First I bought the thinner set for a puppy gate. I have a 4 lb escape artist and I needed new big heavy gate. It was so easy I bought a second 2 inch set to put up another puppy gate. Funny thing... I had not put up the second puppy gate yet because It was a couple inches too short. This SOLVED the shortage problem. The gate is steady and secure.

> 3 dayIn the past I used these to install a gate and was very happy with them. I recently ordered a second set for another gate. The doorway for the second gate was narrower and I could not use all four extenders with the gate I have so I only used two on one side of the gate. It is still secure in a wood framed doorway.

> 3 dayThese seem ok however we had to return them because they weren’t big enough to cover the gap from the gate and the door opening. They also seemed just a little cheaply made so not sure how they would hold up long term

> 3 dayYou need a lot more than two hands to make this fit; and it is even harder if you have baseboards or mouldings or anything like that that makes the doorway a different width at the bottom than at the top. That said, it is pretty sturdy and stable once you finally get it installed, and it is a great idea for solving the problem of protecting your walls... if you dont tear them up trying to get the darned thing installed.

> 3 dayWe did not know these existed and are so grateful that they do. We had the gate for a year and found out that it did not fit so we put it aside and bought another one. I was looking on line for a third gate and found the extender so I bought them and tried them on the first gate and I could not believe they worked. Best purchase ever!!

> 3 dayIf you need a wide to sort of widen a baby gate without buying an expensive extender these will do. We use a baby gate to keep our dogs from the second floor and our gate (w/these extenders) lives at the top of the stairs. It doesnt feel super stable, but our dogs wont dare lean on or press on the baby gate so... I will likely check the tightness of the gates little adjusters every so often to make sure theres the right amount of pressure. I think in the right wall situation these could be sturdier (Like will these be up against a flat wall as opposed to baseboard/trim?) or if you dont need to extend the gate adjuster thingies out too far. Apparently, our threshold area is super wide? For a tag sale baby gate this will do fine.
