Ive used Webroot for several years. It scans quickly without hogging all my computer resources. I think the value is excellent (I usually buy the 5 license package). I never renew the license because it is always less expensive to buy a new license number every year. I only have to update the license number in the software, no need to uninstall and reinstall.

This is working well. It has one feature that I struggled figuring out how to work around. It disables the numlock key while in a browser (like Chrome) so you cant use the arrow keys on the numlock. I contacted the company and they gave me a work around. I would give it 5 stars if it wasnt so difficult to figure out how to deal with this inconvenience. They should put in an option or make it easier to find the fix.

I always use Webroot on all of my home computers. There are Apple and Microsoft computers being used in our family household and Webroot protects them all You let us know if the website we are trying to open is actually a threat to our computers.Thank you once again Webroot.

Instal is not as clear as most but once installed very clear and easy to use. It does a great job of reporting all attempts of programs that want to connect to the internet. If at user is not well informed about what to allow or not they will probably follow the recommendation of the program to block the attempt.. It always recommends blocking a program. This will result in problems of updating and usage of programs.. Other than those two hiccups its a good solid program that does its job.

First I liked the price--upgraded to best package for a lot less than webroot would renew the package I had been using. Webroot offended me with their aggressive renew threats where they tried to force me to renew or uninstall before my subscription was out. It was relatively easy to uninstall and install new program on win7 and even easier on win10.

Runs a very fast and thorough scan on my laptop and was easy to install. Alerts me when I could have a potential problem. And I havent gotten calls from a woman named Doris with a heavy foreign accent that tells me I have a problem with my laptop and she will have it fixed online for only $79.99.....

Solid product, my 2nd year buying it. Buy one of these instead of renewing. Cheaper and simple restarts or extends existing service

I purchased this software on October 20, i.e. a bit more than a month ago. When I first installed the software, I had specifically formatted my hard disk to assure that Id install the security software on a clean hard disk. While the installation of Webroot proved to be easy and quick, I sensed that my browser(s) was loading dreadfully slowly. Analog phone-line pace. Customarily I only use one browser, but I installed a couple of different ones in an attempt to determine whether the slow loading was browser-specific. It made no difference. I contacted the developer and received a brief answer after a few days (Id hate to have an emergency): uninstall and reinstall. Initially, that simple instruction worked. Now, a couple of weeks later, Im back to the slow-loading of the browsers. To be transparent, I run Windows 7 Ultra and have only productivity software (MS Office 2010) installed on my computer. No games, no pictures, no music. At this point, Im annoyed with the security software; while it has kept my computer safe, it slows me down tremendously in my work. The period to return the software has expired. Moreover, I note that Amazon is now selling the same precise version for $22.00 less than I paid in October. Not pleased about that either. I will in likelihood return to the new version of the security software I used in previous years. This experiment has failed.

I checked reviews from the top rated security programs and this one rated the highest. I have only had it a short time but it seems to be working real good. I got the one that secures 5 devices because I have many devices that needed it, i.e. laptop, desktop, phone, tablet, etc. so it was nice that it covered everything. The only annoying thing was it kept notifying me on my phone that I had security, but I put it in the background so it wasnt showing up all the time. I prefer it to work in the background. Other than that I have had no problems with it.

I gave it 4 stars as we shall see how it goes. It caught a nasty trojan right off the bat so I was grateful for that. I use my laptop at the public library a lot and it seems it opens it up to all kinds of invasion. I had another anti virus program that was letting stuff through. Now I have both trying to keep my computer from succombing to stuff nobody wants.
