This lamp works about as you would expect. It’s not as sturdy as i would like but it’s not bad.

This type of light was recommended to us by our vet because our blue feonted Amazon had some deficiences from the lack of sunlight over the winter. It took him a while to warm up to it, but he is doing well with it now, and his condition is improving.

My parakeet has a mirror problem.... she becomes obsessed and aggressive. The mirror backing has become a problem that she will stare at the bright avian bulb and gets aggressive with light. The lamp itself was easy to put together, and does its job. Although, for the money I would have liked the light to be sturdier. The plastic light case is cheap. If I take the mirror coating out the case around it gets hot.

I really like this lamp. I am in an apartment that gets little sun so this was a must for my conure. I put it on a timer so she gets 12 hours on and 12 hours off. It was super easy to assemble and I’m glad it came with the bulb. It is a little wobbly where so I put it right next to the cage which adds support. My baby isn’t a chewer so she doesn’t bother it at all.

Do NOT buy the lamp. Cheap piece of Made in China junk. Everything arrived broken which clearly didn’t take much effort to break. Flimsy junk. Back to square one:/

The light fixture could have a screen or some type of protective device to protect the birds from the heat of the bulb.

This lamp seems to make my bird happy therefore I am happy
