As soon as I plugged in my brand new lamp with its bulb, it shorted out. Now I have to return it (and I pay the shipping!) for a refund. :/ it may have been a fluke, but having to pay for my own refund irks me. I’m going to get my refund and buy a different lamp. Also, the lamp itself was wobbly, though it stood up on its own without falling.

My parrot already seems to enjoy the light after some initial hesitancy due to typical new phobia This particular brand was recommended by the veterinarian . The lamp is flexible and easy to focus, but can be a little wobbly. Overall great product

The bulb area should be larger and brighter

After my 36 year old cockatiel passed away, I knew I had to get Molly, my 18 year old cockatiel, out of the bird room and integrate her with the rest of the household. Upon researching lighting options for birds I came across this light, and weve had it for 5 months now. Molly doesnt scream anymore demanding to have her (regular, built for humans) light turned off and overall she seems happy, considering her long-time friend left us a few months ago.

I cant tell the difference in the light, but my little feathered ladies can. They love sitting in the light. I wish Id gotten it sooner. It was easy to put together. We move it between cages and the part that is screwed together in the middle tends to loosen every so often. Nothing a little lock-tite cant fix.

I bought this for my African Grey Congo. He picks his neck and chest feathers. The light has reduced the feather picking over 2 months, but not yet eliminated it. All other issues my vet recommended have already been addressed. I am hopeful the picking will gradually continue to decline. The light doesnt put out as much light as I expected. I have also added a full spectrum Ott light nearby.

My little 2 parakeets enjoy this lamp. I had to sit it on top of the box it came on due to my cage is a bit taller to allow for the suggested distance recommended on the instructions for no harm to their little eyeballs. I keep it on for approx 4-5 hours a day. No sunshine for them in the area of where the cage is kept. This lamp works. Good purchase for my 2 lil budgies. Chirp, chirp, peep, peep, click, click LOL Lest we not forget the infamous head bobbing! Haha....

Do NOT buy the lamp. Cheap piece of Made in China junk. Everything arrived broken which clearly didn’t take much effort to break. Flimsy junk. Back to square one:/
