Every bird owner should have a light that mimics sun exposure for the health of their bird. It took a few days for my bird to acclimate to this but now she enjoys basking in the light. I can also say it is quite sturdy as she’s tried to take a bite or two out of it and so far has not succeeded. This light does not provide any heat just UV rays.

The product is loose and unscrews easily. It is not sturdy. I have to re-tighten it daily.

very good product my birds love it only problem is it can burn you and keratinize your skin so make sure you turn it off when cleaning

I have had birds most my life. I never thought about lighting being an issue for the health of the bird. Turn it on each morning and off at night. Product is weighted so not unsteady. Assembly was easy. Happy and healthier birds with a turn of a switch.

My parrot is exposed to UV now with my lamp because I have solar films on my windows protecting the insides of my house and the furniture from fading.

Very pleased!
