Red looks orange on my screen. I noticed this while creating a web page for July 4th. I have tried to capture what I see on my Samsung desktop screen (pic 1) and what I see on my Acer Aspire 5 Slim Laptop screen (pic 2) of the very same web page and red color Hex #FF0000. I took the pictures using my Moto G3 camera.

I feel pretty ripped off. The laptop is pretty chintzy to begin with. It took on some sizable dents and dings to its corners the first time I moved it around in a backpack, in a padded sleeve and not slamming the bag around or dropping it. The speakers are located on the bottom side, which works for other laptops, but it requires the speakers have enough power to make it out from under the computer. At its loudest it sounds like a pair of headphones turned up- if Ive got a fan going in the room then I cant hear a thing.

The sound thru the realtec speakers was never loud enough to hear if not positioned right on the laptop. Through headphone the sound is fine. (on laptop you have to turn it up 10 100% to hear and it is not that loud, on headphones 50% will be loud enough). This was an issue from day one and I did not call it in until day 90 when another issue developed. The plastic frame around the screen buckled, bowed and unsnapped (it is a two pc plastic frame front and back a that snaps together around the screen, and may be glued together but not molded together. It is flimsy and low quality and not durable. My laptop stayed in one place on my desk and has not been portable, this laptop would not survive if you tried to make it a portable one. Working with tech support (which was overseas and a hassle) the speaker workaround was attempted and may have improved the sound volume a bit, but still not as good as our HP laptop. For the plastic screen, I could at my cost mail it back to ACER and they would fix it , and it may be at a cost to me if determined not to be their defect, and my damage, that is understood as I did not damage it) but that I would be without it for up to 3 weeks. Their warranty is 30 days. So consider what ever you pay for this laptop that it is going to be a disposable computer, a 30 day use product as that is all that ACER will stand behind their products. I was lucky as mine lasted 3 months, (well without full sound that is). I would NOT recommend any ACER product due to this one ACER purchase.

Terrible onboarding, all third party software is blocked (i.e. Google Chrome), the OS comes a not genuine out of the box, and it shuts down our home internet within 10 minutes!!!!

This computer will not bring up websites that I search for and will not let me log in on some of my accounts on websites, I can go to my other computer log in just fine but on this computer wont let me , Total JUNK

overall very nice laptop. super fast startup and brilliant screen.

Froze while I was writing this review. Completely useless computer. Freezes constantly with only a few chrome tabs open. The touchpad constantly registers any other movement so mouse has a habit to veer off. I only bought this 2 months ago, and its frozen so many times. Speakers are incredibly quiet and muddy. Need to use bluetooth speakers if you need to hear anything at all. Terrible machine. I would be very suspicious of any positive reviews and blame amazon for promoting this as a top pick.

Screen is amazing. The Ryzen 3 is clearly equivalent to some i5s. I’m running Norton and no bogging. I upgraded the ram to 8GB. The system reserved 2GB for hardware FYI. Removing S mode is easy. I transferred files at 250 mb/sec. 80 GB left after I installed all my stuff. Unbelievably good deal. I’ll post back if I have any issues.
