I bought this laptop about a year ago from the US for $310 and for the price the machine is excellent. The display however, after about 6 month has a flack as if somebody has touched it with greasy finger. You cant remove it. And its annoying. I consider returning it and test the Acer warranty, but considering I am in IReland it seems that will cost me a lot of money.

I needed a new laptop, so I asked my son to point me in the right direction. He promised this one would be super fast and less prone to hard drive issues. Im very pleased.

This computer was actually discontinued by my local BestBuy, I believe was because this PC was beating the competition out of the water! You just cant beat the price for this beautiful laptop. I mean, every person who sees me with it always say they think its great, and it IS! cosmetically and internally. This PC comes with a 4GB RAM, but you can expand it if you wish to use heavier Apps like myself.

The processor is good but the RAM leaves something to be desired. Boot speeds from “off” are kind of slow for it having an SSD which is where the memory comes to play. I haven’t opened it up to see if the memory is expandable yet. This computer is for my wife. I have a swift X and the aspire echoes in all of the strengths of my computer. The size makes its easy to slip into a backpack while the usbC port allows for a docking station to support addition monitors, making it a good work station. Mine handles CAD software and many intense programs running at the same time while her Aspire lags slightly with large CAS file rendering. For the price, I’d expect this and nobody could reasonably ask for more performance without paying a premium for it. It handles basic MS office tasks wonderfully and is fast with what’s important to my wife, social media and iTunes.

I like it for this price

People seem to think this is a low end machine or a compromise if you cannot afford a good computer. Do not be a fool with your money. This thing does what it is supposed to do very well indeed. The only shortcoming I see is that the backlit keyboard lets more light through around the keys than I would like. On the other hand when you are not typing the light turns off. Very nice.

I love this laptop. Its not the best for GAMING, but its very useful for getting school work or any other daily tasks done. The screen display on this laptop is very nice and crisp. The only problem I have with it though is the speakers, which arent very loud. They can be good though if your in a quiet environment, but Id definitely recommend plugging in some headphones if your in a noisy environment. Other than that though, Id say this is a very solid Laptop. I was very satisfied with my purchase. I would definitely recommend getting yourself one!
