Best decision i have ever made buying this laptop. Backlit keyboard, ten key, huge display, light weight, and holds a charge very well. Super quick to start up and no processing issues or glitches! Cant go wrong!

Ive owned several laptops previous to buying this highly rated Acer. Two were HPs and the sound absolutely died and were unfixable and since I watch a lot of painting tutorials I needed one that had decent sound. Well, this one has lousy sound! My hearing is not all that good, but at least it has sound, even though it is very weak and it is pretty loud with an external speaker that I stole from my husband. It seems no laptop under $700. has good sound and now I understand that, Ill just use a good external speaker from now on. As for the rest of the computer, its just great! Its quick and I love the backlit keyboard, which is rare to find at this price point and a feature I wanted. All around, now that I easily disabled the dreaded Windows 10 S, it does the trick just fine for me. The picture is really nice as is the slim design and overall looks of it. I am a 70 year old woman who also owns an ipad and an AIO 23 desktop, both of which I use all the time, so this laptop is not my primary computer just a convenience. I just got it a few days ago, so I am hoping it continues to not give me any issues. If it does, I will edit this review !

Im really loving this computer so far! Its slim, lightweight, and folds flat -- which is needed for me for work since I carry my laptop around a lot. The battery life is really long, I love how bright the screen is, and my favorite thing so far is the keyboard. Ever sit down at a new computer/keyboard, and it takes you some adjustment to learn how to type on it without hitting the wrong keys? Not with this laptop -- there was zero learning curve, and Im typing 100wpm as always with zero adjustment period.

I initially thought this computer would work okay. The camera/picture quality is not the greatest. After 4 months of having the laptop, the mouse/touchpad stopped working. I contacted Acer for support 3 times in less than 24 hours. It temporarily was fixed for 3 hours and then stopped working again. They said I would need to mail my laptop to them (with the cost being on me even though it is under warranty) and they would have it back to me in 20 days. I dont feel safe mailing my computer with all of my personal info on it to someone to have for almost 3 weeks, so I guess I have to keep it with a non working mouse/touchpad. Buyer beware. You get what you pay for.

    Greater than one week

I purchased a very small flash drive that has 128gb so I effectively doubled the storage size. I would recommend others do this and make sure its in the usb 3.0 port. Obviously you sacrifice a port, but 128gb isnt much to work with. Being a SSD makes it definitely worth it though. I havent done almost anything intensive, but was able to play the game we were here too with minimal settings online, so that should serve as a benchmark. (Quality was definitely not fantastic, but we beat the game)

I used my laptop maybe once or twice a week to check online things and email. Literally days after going out of warranty the hard drive died. When not in use, the laptop was turned off and not connected so power issues were not an issue. I had felt it was a fine unit for the small things I did but failure like this not acceptable. I have tried to speak to someone at ACER and all I could get was the phone thing saying it was out of warranty and I could be connected to fee based support or you tube. It has been a very frustrating experience. BEWARE!

Great value for the money. Very easy to upgrade ram to 16GB should make it future proof. A little heavy. Not recommended for heavy gaming. I like the separate number row.

Looked for a long time for a replacement laptop. I really enjoy this one. Wish I could have found one with a CD/DVD player, but thats minor.
