> 3 dayI had this PC for about 2 months and it seems to have cooling issues. Even just web browsing can cause the fan to run. Task manager shows peaks of up to 100 percent cpu usage briefly when just opening a web site like cnn or fox news and then fan goes into overdrive. I used it at the end of the couch and thought i am blocking the bottom vents so i been using it on a cutting board so the bottom feet can make a gap to increase air flow but it has not helped. Cpu will get over 80 celsius at times all from just web browsing. This pc gets good reviews so maybe i got a bad one ? Barely has any cooling ducts from the slim design. I did install 16 gigs of DDR4 ram as well so thats not the problem. Opted out of S mode for regular windows aswell

> 3 dayVery great laptop the one I bought specifically don’t hold much memory (bought the memory not knowing much about P.C.) but as person who doesn’t use my laptop for more than school it perfect for me.

> 3 dayThis is such a good laptop. It works beautifully and it’s very fast. Great for gaming. Not that much space for downloadable games but you could always buy an external hardware. Worth the price I paid!

> 3 dayI joined the masses and ordered this laptop for its potential. The detailed reviews about the ease of upgrading the RAM and adding another SSD was the tipping point and proved to be true. I added a second 4gb stick and a 512mb 7mm SSD drive. From start to finish, including updates, was less than 30 minutes. Super quick boot time <10 sec to log in screen. You will want to update the graphics driver via device manager. The rest of the drivers were up to date. Sound quality was a concern. I went into the Realtek manager and switched from music mode to game mode and it made a big difference in the volume for me. Your mileage may vary. If you prop the front of the laptop up slightly, not covering the speakers, the quality improves also. All in for me, including the RAM and second SSD was under $300 with all discounts. Happy to replace my workhorse, but slowly dying HP I have had for 8 years. Hoping this ACER will fill its shoes.

Greater than one weekSo far, Im really liking this laptop! The setup took all of about 5 minutes, but was super easy to connect to my wireless printer, screen quality is nice! Its lightweight so I can easily use it around the house or take it to school. Some reviewers had issues with Windows 10 S, but I discovered that when I downloaded Chrome, a box popped up with an option to switch out of it, so I did! It was that easy. It might be super fantastic, but I dont really feel the need to experiment as Im fine with regular Windows. Im an older adult who has gone back to school, and this machine is perfect for what I need it for, plus price is right!
