Sleek design, works well, no lag, does everything I need it to do plus some.

This laptop has been in use at our house for exactly 60 days, in a stationary location, under fairly light google classroom, google docs, and youtube/netflix workloads. We immediately upgraded to 16GB ram, and installed Autodesk Inventor on it, which also ran superbly the couple of times it has been used so far.

Ive had this laptop for several months now, primarily using it for routine web browsing and Office applications, and Im very pleased with it. It arrived without a lot of bloatware, boots quickly and hasnt had any significant negative issues thus far. The only thing Ive had to change is the length of time that the keyboard backlighting stays on -- it shut off far too quickly when it arrived, but that can be fixed in the BIOS so its not a big deal. I think this Acer Aspire 5 is a solid value at this price point and highly recommend it.

This is a great laptop so far, I am very happy with my purchase. BUT, I was having some issues with the keyboard at first and realized it was set-up for the UK and not US. I changed that in my settings but wound up having more issues as I tried running/purchasing other applications. When downloading anything from the Microsoft Store, it defaulted back to the UK...very frustrating. I honestly took over 5 hours today to try to resolve the issue (over 3 hours spent on the phone with Microsoft) just to find out that the laptop arrived with Windows 10 for the UK loaded on it. I had to let Microsoft remote into the PC so they could reinstall the correct version of Windows 10 and the issue was finally resolved. I dont believe this was intentional on anybodys part...just an unfortunate situation. I figured it was worth the post though just in case someone else finds themselves in the same situation.

Lots of great features for such a reasonable price. It works well in every way, except that it arrived with 1 USB port working off and on. Not something I use often, but as on now, none of them work. Its irritating. For the times I simply need to transfer a file. And its been this way since September or October, so the ports didnt even last a year. Otherwise a good buy.
