Very poor functionality. Would not recommend this to anyone. Touchpad not working at all. Computer too slow. You can definitely find much better computers with this price. The max amount this pc is worth is $200.

The laptop itself is sleek and stylish with a fairly decent light-up keyboard. I had to upgrade the ram in the laptop and change it away from a version of windows that can be changed to normal for free. (Look up a walk-thru on Youtube if you need help.)

This computer was awesome for the price, for the first year. After the year mark where the warranty expired the battery life dropped to almost 4 hours. Not only that but my charging cable stoped working almost entirely. I took it to a tech shop and they said the charging port and the battery were fine the only trouble they could find was from the charger itself. So I bought a new charger. This didn’t work. Same issue. So I switched to another charger with detachable male ends so it’s useable on different laptops. This didn’t work either. To ensure it wasn’t the charging cable I tested it on my friends MacBook and it charged that just fine. Now my battery isn’t charging my laptop and my laptop is dead. Theres nothing wrong with the charging cable as it’s worked with other laptops. My laptop now refuses to share no matter what. This is a great laptop like I said for the first year if you’re using it for writing documents and the occasional online game. But after the year mark it doesn’t hold charge and it doesn’t charge at all. Good luck. Personally wouldn’t buy acer again.

Seriously, it boots fast, great graphics. I have on my WFH desk hooked to two monitors and a conference camera working over a virtual system and have NO PROBLEMS. So when my daily personal use laptop failed me, I was able to buy another ACER Aspire 5 almost cheaper than fixing the old one. Very light and practical. I would buy a third, but dont need it. So you an buy it.

Start up in less than 45 seconds. Super fast. Great screen quality, good battery life. Added 8 GB of memory. Best laptop for me. Took it off S mode. Couldnt be happier.

Overall and great laptop, but the charger is a delta brand and doesnt match to the laptop brand Acer. After 7 months the charger wire doesnt work and I am hoping that it is the only problem and not the port. I always thought the charger wasnt a good fit, should have checked the brand to the charger sooner.

Laptop does what it needs to, however, it is supremely quiet even at the highest volume. I cant use for work meetings without wearing a headset. Have occasionally tried using it for kids to watch a movie on while traveling, they were a foot away and couldnt hear enough to continue watching.

I purchased 2 exactly same laptops for kids’ online home work. Both had same issue. Mouse disappeared and has never been found. Shipping and refund were fast without any problem. Thank you.
