We bought this laptop in Dec. 2020 for our daughter. It was just supposed to be a simple laptop for her to use, mostly for school. Its performance is so so, the screen quality could be much improved but what I am going to address is the port and the charger and the expense involved to fix it or replace it. The port is faulty and the charger WILL also break. You have to have it sitting just so inside the port or it will not charge, and the charger itself was a POS and didnt even fit well. This is the one that came with it. We ended up having to replace it - to the tune of $85. In fact we bought multiple ones and could not find one to fit.( do not trust those universal ones - they will not work) We drove from place to place, laptop in hand and charger in hand and finally found this remote place that services businesses to sell us one. Even with this one you had to baby the charger and laptop, sitting them in specific position, while crossing your fingers, spreading fairy dust, and singing old gospel hymns in the hopes it would work so you could use it. Well now this charge no longer works with the port and I cant see myself paying another $85 to use it. So do not waste your money.

This Acer Aspire 5 slim laptop works great and has a very good HD picture, video quality... It boots up very fast ( under 10 seconds ) and im pleased...

This is a great laptop especially when I added 4gb of ram and a Samsung ssd 860 evo. The speed on this thing now is amazing!! It takes 15 seconds from the time I turn it on till it is up and running. What I did was set my laptop up like a desktop. I bought a 23 inch Acer monitor and turned the display down on the laptop and placed it on my sliding keyboard drawer. So now I have a laptop/desktop computer at less than 500 dollars. I did a lot of research before buying this laptop and it paid off. Once again you will need to at least add 4gb of ram in the open slot which is incredibly easy to do.

I had this up and running within a half hour of receiving it. Simple set up instructions. Downloaded updates and all works well. Definitely recommend for everyday average user, movie watcher.

The laptop is running great and I think it is an exceptional value. This may not be a powerhouse but if you want it for light gaming or Internet surfing then you cant go wrong with this one. All in all this is a great Laptop and I could not be happier with my purchase.If you want a budget laptop you wont go wrong with this one.

I wasn’t really sure about it, but I still went ahead and bought it. I received it today. It’s great I really love it. I would recommend to anyone.

Its light weight and comfortable to use. Plenty of room to rest your hand as typing yet a slim design.
