> 3 dayI bought this to use as a low power draw desktop replacement, since I already have a 13 inch Dell 2in1 for travel and portability. The Dell is an i3-6100u processor and this ryzen 3 is noticeably faster. Nice screen, pairs with a 27 inch Acer monitor with no hassles whatsoever. I use a bluetooth speaker, so Im not too concerned about speaker quality; its nothing to brag about on this laptop. i wouldnt mind 5gHz wireless, but this will be hardwired into a gigabit router most of the time anyway. Its a budget machine, after all.

> 3 dayI’ll start with the s-mode discussion. This is a non-issue. It’s 3-4 clicks and about 10-15 seconds to get out of it when you get your computer. Don’t let misinformed people make this a deal breaker for you. There are plenty of other reviews that will agree and provide direction for how to get out of it.

> 3 dayI love the backlit keyboard. Good speed for web surfing and basic work. Doesnt hold charge as long as some others.

> 3 dayMicrosoft edge is the worst browser first off, secondly this laptop did an automatic update and deleted several of my saved documents which are unrecoverable- hours of work are lost. It also blanked out 4x during a timed midterm exam last week.

> 3 dayThis laptop is probably the best one around for the price-point. The only negative thing I can say is that the cooling fans are pretty loud when you are in a quiet room. Other than that, I am beyond pleased with this purchase!

Greater than one weekThe backlit keyboard. I was easily able to take it out of Win 10 S mode. i was able to open the back cover once i removed all 10 screws. i used a guitar pick to start the process of disconnecting the back cover. There is a open slot for memory. I got a 16Gb chip and added it in. So, now it has 20Gb of memory. This laptop feels well made and light weight. It boots up in about 5 seconds. For the money i think you would be very hard pressed to find a better laptop! Paid $269 on Prime day. Note: it does not have a touch screen. Also, if you want you could clone / image and put in a larger SSD drive. But i keep all my data on a seperate drive so the 128Gb SSD is fine.

> 3 dayWindows does not run as smoothly on the Acer as it did on my Dell. My games do not work as well. Have to refresh page often when searching on internet. Not happy with this product.

> 3 dayOverall a nice laptop. I wish it had a touch screen, but that wasnt a deal-breaker. I just use it work and home. There are a few downsides; however, based on the price, none is very serious:
