I have been using this computer regularly for work the last month and its been great! Its fast, holds a great charge and isnt too complicated to set up or work with.

I owned an Acer Aspire E15 with similar specs to this laptop previously so I had high hopes... I was extremely disappointed. The laptop runs fine for doing basic things like browsing the web, but once you start programming or playing games, itll get extremely loud and slow. It can barely run basic things like IntelliJ IDE without getting hot and the fan running on full blast. The battery life on this thing is also completely miserable.

Acer wont let you set up this PC without signing in with a Microsoft account, as well as adding a phone number and birthday. These are unnecessary, Acer doesnt need to do this to install Windows. I wont be purchasing any more Acer products. If you dont mind the privacy violations it seems like a plain vanilla laptop.

Pros:

Feature for feature, this laptop shines when compared to similar priced units from other manufacturers. Starting with the screen which is HD and not touchscreen. I dont watch videos or edit pictures professionally. Videos and pictures appear to be clear, colors are precise so what more could you want? Keyboard is backlit and tactile feel to the keys is good. I dont mind the backlight keyboard flicking off every 30 seconds, it saves battery power. I needed ample USB ports and this delivers including a USB-C port. I also wanted a LAN port and have one as well as a HDMI and fingerprint reader. These items were all extra or not available on comparably priced units from others. In addition to these the 8GB RAM module in this particular unit was very easy to replace with a 16GB stick. There is room to add a second HDD/SSD and that too is very easy to access and to add a second drive. All the parts required to install a second drive are included. I installed a Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB in mine with very little effort. On occasion I do hear the fan spin up to the point of being noticeable but as far as being nerve wracking, no, it is not. So if you are a student looking for a computer for school, business person for a light weight laptop or a senior like myself to keep track of records, finances, and the grand kids, this is a good unit for you.

The product description states Backlit Keyboard & FPR Reader - Work comfortably in any environment with the backlit keyboard. What it doesnt say is the backlit stays on for only 30 seconds. There is no option to make it stay on. This laptop is not suitable for anyone who needs to use it in a dark environment.

I still havent used my laptop yet!! I live in Jamaica, as such to avoid outrageous shipping fees and theft/loss, I ship stuff to family members/friends (travelling once or twice a yr) who then bring them for me. So everything needs to be in order before they travel.

Best Computer I have ever owned. So fast. Makes like easier!

Great product for the price. No touch screen, but I knew that.

This computer looks great, feels light, works fast, etc. Has back-lit keyboard and just feels nice overall.
