> 3 dayVery happy with this laptop. Havent experienced any of the issues others have had. Probably fixed by Windows and Acer updates after setup was complete. Very fast with SSD drive compared to my previous laptop. Added 1TB HD in second drive bay with included mounting hardware.

> 3 dayThe computer was working great for a few months... then a horizontal scratch started developing about half-way up on the screen. I contacted Acer support and was told that physical damage is not covered by the warranty. I have taken good care of this laptop... this issue is a design flaw. They want to charge $350 to repair this physical damage. They will not stand behind their products, therefore I will not waste my money with them again.

> 3 dayI bough this Acer a few days ago to replace a Toshiba Satellite C55-C5241 that suddenly died (monitor stopped working) 3 short years after buying it. I was originally reluctant to buy an Acer as I was not very sure about the quality, was concerned about another review that mentioned the fan was very loud, and was not sure I could live with a SSD of 256 only. Here are my initial impressions:

> 3 dayThis is not a high end laptop. The screen resolution is nowhere near Apple quality. Not a touch screen. Im not a gamer. It is fairly fast when logging in and on restarts due to the SSD. It often fails to switch the audio output when I connect to HDMI to watch streaming apps on TV and requires a restart to fix it. I like the lighted keyboard. The case feels pretty cheap and there is no opening anywhere along the edges of the screen and keyboard to open it. You have to slide your fingernails in between them to open it. Its a good basic laptop that I got on a Black Friday sale for $400 and it is worth that much for when I want to use MS office apps like Word and Excel or surf the web with a regular keyboard and a bigger screen than an iPad.

Greater than one weekSo, this computer is great. Then I wanted to upgrade it and found inside the one chip was installed incorrectly breaking a small connector and made it impossible for an additional drive. Then as you can see from the picture, there is clearly only one ram slot when all the literature as well as the computer settings say there are two slots. So I ordered the wrong DD4r memory. Lucky I didnt really need to upgrade it and also lucky I could send back the SSD and the Ram to amazon for free. Wish it was still under warranty, so I could get that connector fixed.

> 3 dayI still can not believe the incredible quality of the screen. The full HD1080 is mind blowing compared to what I had been using for years. I am still getting used to how Fast this sweet little laptop is as well! I used to turn the computer on and then walk away to get coffee or do something while the laptop Woke Up and was ready for me. This new Acer Aspire is ready for me right away. Very happy with its speed.

> 3 dayBrought September 2019, battery critical error and then laptop turned off and would not turn on. Waited over 30mins for customer service, hung up and rang again, still no resolution. Needless to say I will be returning laptop. 7 months light usage and then this is unacceptable. Laptop is under manufacturer warranty and I brought additional extended warranty.
