> 3 dayBought to replace an i3 DELL machine that SpportAssist broke. Some reviews said this one was slow, especially on WiFi, but I see no evidence of this. I also have an i7 8-core SSD DELL machine (blazingly fast) to compare it to, and performance appears to be about right. Overall, I really like it with the full keyboard. I had no issue installing the software I offloaded from the (repaired) DELL. It is now my dedicated microcontroller development and software defined radio (SDR) machine.

> 3 dayI owned an Acer Aspire E15 with similar specs to this laptop previously so I had high hopes... I was extremely disappointed. The laptop runs fine for doing basic things like browsing the web, but once you start programming or playing games, itll get extremely loud and slow. It can barely run basic things like IntelliJ IDE without getting hot and the fan running on full blast. The battery life on this thing is also completely miserable.

> 3 dayA surprising laptop for the money! The build quality isnt MacBook-level, but for the $500 I paid, this machine feels like a lot more money. The chassis is aluminum and plastic but it has a premium look and feel. The i5/SSD combination in my model is very fast for 99% of the tasks I use it for. This isnt for gaming and with its integrated Intel graphics, it isnt going to run Fortnite but for web browsing and work tasks, its more than enough. The SSD is only 256GB but everythings in the cloud, so capacity isnt an issue. The display is fairly bright and sharp and the keyboard is intuitive and relatively quiet. The trackpad can be a little finicky but I think Ill get used to it. All in all, this is a lot of laptop for the money and Im very happy.

> 3 dayFeature for feature, this laptop shines when compared to similar priced units from other manufacturers. Starting with the screen which is HD and not touchscreen. I dont watch videos or edit pictures professionally. Videos and pictures appear to be clear, colors are precise so what more could you want? Keyboard is backlit and tactile feel to the keys is good. I dont mind the backlight keyboard flicking off every 30 seconds, it saves battery power. I needed ample USB ports and this delivers including a USB-C port. I also wanted a LAN port and have one as well as a HDMI and fingerprint reader. These items were all extra or not available on comparably priced units from others. In addition to these the 8GB RAM module in this particular unit was very easy to replace with a 16GB stick. There is room to add a second HDD/SSD and that too is very easy to access and to add a second drive. All the parts required to install a second drive are included. I installed a Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB in mine with very little effort. On occasion I do hear the fan spin up to the point of being noticeable but as far as being nerve wracking, no, it is not. So if you are a student looking for a computer for school, business person for a light weight laptop or a senior like myself to keep track of records, finances, and the grand kids, this is a good unit for you.

Greater than one weekReceived this ACER laptop yesterday. Booted it today, deleted some of the installed software, changed some of Microsofts settings, installed AVG and CCleaner, and this far the device is quiet, smooth running (no glitches anywhere, and fast. Were coming from a four-year-old ACER laptop, and this news one is light years ahead with respect to performance and convenience of new-tech features. We are typical, everyday computer users: e-mail, banking, on-line research, and on-line shopping. Does all we ask of it with ease. If it continues to perform like this, it will prove worthy of five stars.

> 3 dayA very nice computer, especially at the Prime Day price. I’ve included a pic of the Passmark benchmarks so everyone can see how fast this computer is.

Greater than one weekI purchased this laptop in February after my Dell Inspiron bit the dust. This Acer is perfectly fine for school work, which is primarily what I needed at the time. However, the hard drive space is a joke.
