> 24 hourWhat I like: - 1440p 27 in monitor with built-in speakers at a good price - sound quality is good for everyday things - monitors LED doesnt blink when I suspend the computer. The light changes to amber and is barely noticeable. Other monitors blink so brightly and light up the room at night - USB charging ports What I dont like: - no eye saver mode. There are other modes, but I cant tell the difference between them for the the work I do. I got a monitor that has eye saver mode, and it really does save your eyes - there are cheaper 1440p 27in monitors with built in speakers now. Id probably buy one of them now. Their LED might blink when suspended, but I found that covering the LED with three layers of duct tape mutes the color

> 24 hourGreat 1440p high refresh rate panel for a great price. Should be a main contender for anyone looking at this price range and specs.

> 24 hourBacklight bleed is somewhat bad in my opinion, being very noticeable in the corners through certain shades of black, although it is not that bad if you arent displaying shades of black often. But for reference when it is night time (in-game) it gets kind of hard to see a lot of times even after turning off my lights and playing in a dark room. If you do a bleed test, it doesnt come back very bad, and its only during certain shades where it is a big issue. Opposed to the majority of reviews, the monitors color accuracy is really not that great either. Well thats not necessarily true. Its a nice display and has a wide range of colors and shows them beautifully, but the monitors preset color settings are somewhat inaccurate, you will most likely have to tune them a bit. For me personally, my display had a faint red-pink tint to everything bright colored, like white, or cream. For example, characters skin will look sunburnt or blushed instead of crisp and clean. This can of course be adjusted but the tuning is only to eye and always leaves room for error. 1080p looks bad, but to be honest it almost always will for monitors that are made for 1440p. If you are looking to game in 1080p the majority of the time I do not recommend. This is mainly just a note to people reading reviews to lower expectations. 1440p is hard to downscale into 1080p because it is not an even switch so the monitor will be displaying a slightly larger than a 1:1 ratio making images blurry and low quality. Some monitors look better than others and some components try to help fix this issue but your quality will not be good. Other notes include: Its support for HD is good (which reduces some of the bleed when turned on it seems) Its brightness settings are good (I almost always have to keep it low because anything past like 50 will fry your eyes like an egg, especially with the max brightness setting on It is quick and responsive 1440p looks nice It comes with built in speakers, even though they arent the best and have zero depth they work for casual gaming and those of us who are too broke or stubborn to buy some nice ones The stand and connections are made out of mainly plastic but have a metal base Lots of movement from the monitor in all angles, easily adjustable Overall pretty good for the price though, I mean what would you expect? These are all not the biggest issues and for most people wont be that noticeable.

> 24 hourSpent weeks looking for a good monitor to use with my ps5. Im not really computer savvy ( I havent actively used a computer since 2014), so I basically had to research what all the specs mean, and how it would function with my console. With a $300 budget I wanted the best I could get to hit 120fps and also with hdr and at least 1080p. So the extra pixel count is a nice bonus with this model. If youre discouraged to buy a monitor after watching reviews and reading reddit threads and seeing how someone always had something negative to say about any computer product. as someone who knows basically nothing about this stuff, I can say that this particular monitor has met all my needs and Im 100% satisfied. I would buy again. Setup was super easy, you really dont even need to reed the instructions. I had it out the box and set up and playing games within 20 minutes. And the analog stick button on the back makes it super easy to navigate its menus. Just an overall amazing monitor for the price and for anyone with next gen consoles.

> 24 hourI recently purchased two each of the following 27 inch 1440P IPS monitors to use in a 4 monitor array where I already owned two Acer K272HUL Dbmidpx L 27 IPS monitors. Ranked from favorite to least favorite below: 1) Acer Nitro XV272U Pbmiiprzx 27 WQHD - these are my new favorite 1440p monitors due to the fact that they seem to deliver the best image quality out of all of the monitors that I have tested. I use these for productivity and am not really a gamer. Great text readability, minimal back light bleed, nice sleek design, decent glare reduction without making images blurry (see notes on the Dell unit below). Great controls and menu except a little inconvenient if you have these mounted side by side as the controls are on the right rear of the monitors so might be difficult to access on the left monitor due to placement. Youll need to physically move the monitor to access the controls. Not a big deal to me though. 2) Asus ProArt Display PA278QV - these were my second favorite but I just simply preferred the image quality from the Acer Nitro XV272U a little better. I dont love the measuring lines on the front of the display but suspect they may be useful for video/photo editors? I also think the menu system and buttons can be improved a little. Overall, a nice monitor but didnt quite cut it for me. 3) Acer Nitro VG270U BMIIPX - great image quality and similar image quality like the other Acers listed above, but the fatal flaw with these is they caused my computer to slow to a crawl whenever my PC would wake from sleep. I contacted Acer support and they believe it to be an issue with the firmware thats installed on the monitors. Returned them. 4) Dell U2719D - really nice sleek design with a great menu system controls and input options but the anti glare coating was too aggressive for my liking and the image quality was just meh to me when compared to the two Acers listed above. Hope this helps someone searching for monitors :)

> 24 hourGot this monitor at the $300 price point before it changed to $400. So far its been a great upgrade from a 24 inch 1080p 144hz. Very happy with it.

> 24 hourFor reference, the last time I paid $350 for a monitor I got a 60hz 1080p VA panel. With the fact that I was looking for 1440p 120hz IPS, I was expecting to pay $500 minimum, but I was pleasantly surprised to find this monitor. Then on top of what I was looking for I got freesync and hdr400. Ive had it for about a month now and I absolutely love it. The colors are kind of weird on some of the preset profiles but I was easily able to get it set up to where I think it looks good. The 27 size seems perfect, and the resolution increase from 1080p is very nice. Personally I dont think the hdr400 is really that great but its nice to have. Having the higher refresh rate has also been great in reducing the screen tearing I was experiencing on my old 60hz monitor. The fact that it comes with some somewhat decent speakers was surprising as well. I expected some very quiet crappy speakers, but they get pretty loud and are much better than what Id expected from a gaming monitor. From what Ive seen you really just cannot beat the features of this monitor at this price, and I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a solid affordable monitor.

> 24 hourTo start off, I am more than satisfied with this monitor, especially being at only $300 (or $255 at the time I purchased it on prime day). It arrived the next day and in full working order. It was easy to set up and dialing down the settings is very simple. This is my first monitor, so I am not able to really compare it to other monitors. Im too used to 4k gaming to go back to 1080p, but I wanted higher framerates as well, so I concluded that 1440p was a good balance for me. Only considering this monitor, there were no dead pixels, and there is a bit of backlight bleed, but thats to be expected with IPS panels. The 144 Hz is silky smooth, though there is a bit of ghosting, but I cant really notice unless Im testing for it. The HDR works well, but not as well as my Vizio V-series 4k HDR TV. Its still better than SDR. However, I will always choose the higher framerate over slightly better HDR. Also, enabling HDR limits framerate to 120, but thats also just barely noticeable. I havent tested for input lag, but I can assure you its very low, even with HDR on. I notice very little difference in the response time with HDR on vs off. The monitor has an ultra low latency mode that sets it to 1ms. One thing that I wish this monitor had was more image settings with HDR enabled. When I turn on HDR, I cant customize the contrast or brightness or color any further to fit my preferred settings. Again, the HDR 400 works well, but I wish it was a bit better. Another strange problem I had was enabling the HDR in some games. More specifically, Fallen Order and Shadow of War. For some reason, the HDR just looks bad for both of these games. Ive adjusted picture settings in game and on my pc as best as I can and it still looks like SDR. I know it isnt the PC or the games because both of these games looked beautiful on the 4k TV I have, but not on this monitor. That being said, other games look fantastic with HDR. Destiny 2, Metro: Exodus, and others look just as amazing as they did on the TV. I dont know why this problem is happening, but its something to consider when looking at this monitor. The HDR on this monitor is hit or miss with some games. If you arent a super competitive gamer who needs the lowest possible response time, or youre on a budget, or both, this monitor will work well for you. Despite my issues with the HDR, I still think this monitor is a great deal for 1440p gaming. Of course you could surely get a better monitor for $400-500, but this is a good balance for a lightly competitive gamer on a budget. So I give it 4 stars for overall quality, but 5 stars considering its price.
