Greater than one weekPros: Great value and build quality. Easily adjustable stand height and angle. Very high refresh rate. Included cables are good quality. Cons: Matte screen is meant to diffuse glare, but it instead it seems to add a low amount of uniform glare from any angle. (I would rather just change my monitor angle and have a glossy screen with deeper blacks.) 2K resolution is ok but 4K would be noticeably better. LED, not OLED. For the price, this is a solid monitor. 4.5 stars If you want a 5 star monitor, spend another $500+

23-11-2024I researched a lot about which was a quality 1440p 144hz IPS monitor to buy. Turns out, most of them are really good! When I narrowed it down, it was between the LG 27GL850 or the Acer XV272U. The LG monitor was out of stock everywhere so I ended up with this one and Im very glad I did. I bought this to game with a 2080 ti and PS4 Pro. I havent received the 2080 ti yet, when I do I will update the review. On the PS4 Pro, I am very impressed. I normally game on a 55 4K Samsung KS8000, an amazing HDR TV to compare the monitor to. The PS4P detects the Acer Nitro XV2 and sets the resolution at 4K. There is a Super Sharpness enabled by default, testing it on and off on multiple PS4P games there is a big difference on same and no difference on some. Going through all the different color modes, I was freaking out at how an IPS panel could be so washed out like a TN panel...until I enabled HDR. Maybe Im used to gaming on the HDR TV so much or this monitor is terrible without HDR enabled...Im not sure until I test it on the PC soon. But with HDR enabled, my eyes were overwhelmed with how amazing the colors are. With HDR enabled, this monitors maximum brightness is really bright like my eyes were starting to hurt and strain so I probably damaged my retinas a little bit inspecting for BLB and dead pixels...which I received a monitor with no BLB or dead pixels! So far Im really happy with my monitor for the PS4 Pro, so I hope the experience is the same on PC when I received my GPU in a few days.

Greater than one weekI switched from the ASUS VG248QG, 165hz 1080p to this. I bought it for $300, looking at it right now, and it seems the price has increased to $400. Pros: 240hz (I play a lot of Valorant, it is definitely easier to hit shots with this monitor) 1440p (Looks a lot sharper and cleaner than 1080p, tested it in Cyberpunk 2077 and the difference is extremely noticeable) Response time (While I dont have the equipment to measure its response time, the manufacturer listed the monitor to have a 1ms GTG response time. I havent noticed any ghosting or smearing while gaming/UFO test. Ive seen a lot of videos online expressing how important GTG is over MPRT, so Im just going to believe the manufacturer on this.) IPS Panel (You’re able to look at the monitor from any viewing angle and the colors will look uniform. Definitely feels nicer than the VA panel I have) Cons: Build Quality (The monitor definitely feels cheap, but it makes sense since the monitor was only $300) Color Accuracy (Its listed as HDR, but the colors arent accurate/vibrant with and without the setting on. If the monitor is used just for gaming, this is definitely a solid pick. Youll get used to the colors eventually.) Overall: For the price of $300, Id recommend this monitor to any competitive gamers. Note: This monitor was also just released on Amazon on May 14, 2023, so it makes sense why you cant find any information on this monitor at all.

> 3 dayGot this monitor at the $300 price point before it changed to $400. So far its been a great upgrade from a 24 inch 1080p 144hz. Very happy with it.

> 3 day170hz 1440p 27” $250 bucks!?! It’s a insane deal coming from a well known brand (sure if you want a cheaper deal look at spectre and pixio type brands). I’m replacing a acer1440p 144hz monitor that costed 80 bucks more! The hdr is ok def better than not having it. 170hz showed up right in windows display settings (using DisplayPort not sure if hdmi is as good). Def has backlight bleed but it’s not as bad as some monitors I’ve had in the past. Really great monitor, thinking about grabbing another to match.

> 3 dayEasily on par with (and possibly exceeds?) the performance of my LG Ultragear. And zero bugs/glitches/RMA issues to address with a less-than-helpful support team. These guys are getting my money from now on.

> 3 dayThis is an excellent LCD HDR monitor. I have never used HDR but have previously used 144hz 2k monitors (Acer XG270HU for reference). My other Acer 2k monitor uses a TN panel, which has poor viewing angles and color reproduction, but this one produces excellent colors after I changed the color bit depth to 10bpc and configured the monitor colors. I only have a couple of games which support HDR but one I tried (Red Dead Redemption 2) looks amazing, though it was somewhat difficult to get working correctly. Pros: VESA compatible Extremely bright Excellent Wide Color Gamut reproduction Height Adjustable (I remember reading a couple of reviews saying it had no height adjustment, but it does) 144Hz QHD 27 is the perfect combination of resolution, refresh rate, and pixel size Cons: Was a little difficult to set up HDR in windows and be sure everything was working correctly.

> 3 dayAfter using it for more than a year, I recommend this screen to players who want competitive games and story games because it combines these two parts because this screen has very beautiful colors and makes your experience in story games beautiful. As for those who want it in competitive games, it also has good technologies such as (HDR 400- color accuracy 98% ) To help you in competitive games, but there is something not good about it. If you enable this technology (VRB (Extreme)) there will be ghosting in colors from the reality of an experience that is only bad in this thing other than that it’s really good for the price that I bought it for.

> 3 dayRecently I bought a new gaming PC, that included an MSi Gaming Trio RTX 3080, but being bottlenecked by my 60hz 1080p monitor, I might as well have been plaing on a GTX 1080. Wanting to push more of the limits of my new GPU, I purchased this monitor. Going from 60hz 1080p gaming to 144hz 1440p gaming is a large jump. The smoothness is unparralled by any monitor Ive seen, and it is dramatically noticeable when changing the settings back to 60hz. There is clearly a lot more detail at 1440p as well. The games look that much more realistic and look way more beautiful. Definitely a good addition to any person who enjoys gamings tech collection. The colors look better than my last monitor also. I think there could be more color callibration features, but thats something Ill work out and maybe update my review upon figuring out. But so far, the brightness and color looks fine great, being an IPS monitor with HDR. Although you supposedly cant get overdrive and HDR at the same time, the display has very accurate colors regardless. The overdrive is already preconfigured, but most monitors benefit most from the normal setting for overdrive, in order to get that response-time down and decrease motion blur for a true 144fps experience. I dont notice much motion blur, everything looks smooth as butter to me, but this is also my first time viewing a 144hz monitor. But regardless, its a giant leap from 60hz 1080p in terms of image quality and video smoothness, and Im happy with this purchase, and will now get to experience better what my PC is capable of.
