Greater than one weekI researched a lot about which was a quality 1440p 144hz IPS monitor to buy. Turns out, most of them are really good! When I narrowed it down, it was between the LG 27GL850 or the Acer XV272U. The LG monitor was out of stock everywhere so I ended up with this one and Im very glad I did. I bought this to game with a 2080 ti and PS4 Pro. I havent received the 2080 ti yet, when I do I will update the review. On the PS4 Pro, I am very impressed. I normally game on a 55 4K Samsung KS8000, an amazing HDR TV to compare the monitor to. The PS4P detects the Acer Nitro XV2 and sets the resolution at 4K. There is a Super Sharpness enabled by default, testing it on and off on multiple PS4P games there is a big difference on same and no difference on some. Going through all the different color modes, I was freaking out at how an IPS panel could be so washed out like a TN panel...until I enabled HDR. Maybe Im used to gaming on the HDR TV so much or this monitor is terrible without HDR enabled...Im not sure until I test it on the PC soon. But with HDR enabled, my eyes were overwhelmed with how amazing the colors are. With HDR enabled, this monitors maximum brightness is really bright like my eyes were starting to hurt and strain so I probably damaged my retinas a little bit inspecting for BLB and dead pixels...which I received a monitor with no BLB or dead pixels! So far Im really happy with my monitor for the PS4 Pro, so I hope the experience is the same on PC when I received my GPU in a few days.

> 3 dayIf you are looking to step up from FHD, I suggest QHD. I tried 4K and the adoption of 4K isnt there yet. This Acer Nitro has everything I needed for editing photo/video. It features 10-bit colors, so thats 1 billion colors vs the industry standard 8-bit which is only 16 million colors. The Amazon add doesnt state it but it is a true 10-bit monitor. Next, it has Rec.709 profiles already built in so its great for video. It has the 170hz refresh rate so great for high-speed video. Highly recommend, especially at the price.

> 3 dayDecent affordable 1440 monitor with a nice refresh rate. Biggest issue is the IPS glow makes this unusable for working with dark images, videos, etc. Its not the worse I have seen, but when I have this next to my K272HL its very noticeable.

> 3 dayI purchased the 27 QHD version of this monitor two months ago and so far it has been great. Coming from a 60hz, 1080p monitor this thing is buttery smooth during gaming and QHD resolution is a huge step up from FHD. The menu took a little getting use to as far as navigation since my old monitor didnt have a joystick, but its fairly easy and the connectivity is great. The 4-port USB 3 hub is also incredibly convenient for plugging in mic, webcam, external storage drives or whatever else you may need quick access to. A lot of reviewers complained about how dim it was and the IPS glow, but neither has been a problem for me. I have brightness at 100% and while the display isnt going to blind you, it is perfect for my viewing. Also there is some IPS glow around the edges but only noticeable in the dark when the screen in black, which is not a problem as I dont use my computer in the dark. I liked this monitor so much I got one for my brother for his birthday and he thinks its great too. As feature rich as this monitor is, its a steal if you can get it for $300 or less.

> 3 dayI purchased this during prime day specifically for console gaming, and it will be tough to beat the price for a quality budget monitor from a company Ive actually heard of before. Since Xbox is very particular about what monitors it allows you to play 1440p at 120hz in, this one did it out of the box, no problems whatsoever. I was initially a little hesitant because acer has 37 similar models and I couldnt find a long technical review specifically for this one, but it seems to be a really solid monitor for the price.

> 3 day170hz 1440p 27” $250 bucks!?! It’s a insane deal coming from a well known brand (sure if you want a cheaper deal look at spectre and pixio type brands). I’m replacing a acer1440p 144hz monitor that costed 80 bucks more! The hdr is ok def better than not having it. 170hz showed up right in windows display settings (using DisplayPort not sure if hdmi is as good). Def has backlight bleed but it’s not as bad as some monitors I’ve had in the past. Really great monitor, thinking about grabbing another to match.

> 3 dayI have had this monitor for about 6 months now and its great. It serves as my 2nd monitor currently. Havent had 1 issue with it to date. The speakers arent amazing but theyre no worse than any other monitor. Stand is fairly compact and very sturdy. All and all I would recommend it for sure

> 3 dayIf your going through reviews trying to decide whether to buy or not to buy. BUY IT! For the price this can not be beat. Not the strongest build quality but aside from that this is excellent value and perfect for office/gaming usage. Plus, this does not cause me any eye strain what so ever which is a huge bonus for me! Seriously, stop reading the negative reviews and buy this monitor. I spent so much time reading reviews, rtings, and reddit just to find a damn monitor that wouldnt cause eye issues and Im glad I went with this one because it is one of the few monitors Ive ever owned that causes zero eye strain. Beautiful picture and refresh rate as well.
