> 3 dayI found that setting this gaming monitor up, was really easy and nothing really to it. You only get an HDMI cable with this though, no DisplayPort cable. Color on this is BEAUTIFUL! HDR feature seems to work its magic, vibrant colors! The 1440p resolution is just borderline of what Id accept, anything less feels like I dont get that crisp picture. The 144hz refresh, is also works well. I dont see any ghosting, and the game feels and looks so smooth! Amazing picture resolution AND color = outstanding quality. The blacks really do look dark and amazing. The bad about this is the speakers. Quality is not great and it isnt loud. Either way, I never use the built in speakers because I have my own speaker and headphones I use that already has amazing sound. I would highly RECOMMEND if you are looking for a good monitor, or just on a budget. The best monitor I have had. Why pay more for anything else when this is all youll need! And nah they did not pay me for this. I just love this monitor so much already and it has been like 2 days. Lol If anything should go bad, Im editing this ASAP.

Greater than one weekLets start with the negatives of which there are two: 1) The display, as many other reviews have mentioned, is a _little_ dim even on full brightness. Its not a problem, for me, with my setup, but I can in certain lighting conditions see more reflection off the screen of lighting in the room(say, my keyboard backlight, or even my desk when lit from above) than the display itself. Generally only noticeable with very dark images on the display and fairly well lit things to reflect. 2) The product ships with an HDMI cable that is insufficient to drive it to rated specs. To get full 2k 144Hz you need a displayport cable. I had some artifacting issues (vertical lines that wouldnt refresh) on the in-box HDMI cable, but these were fixed by switching to a $15 displayport cable from a reputable manufacturer. The included HDMI cable doesnt seem to be particularly cheap, it is sturdy, thick, and weighty, it just seems insufficient for using the display to its full capabilities. If you are having issues out of the box, I recommend trying a displayport cable. The picture quality and color is excellent. It performs excellently in games and watching videos at high resolution and refresh rate. Great value at its price point. I would highly recommend it. Its not perfect, but it is certainly one of the best you can buy.

> 3 daySo I bought this for my Xbox series X. I did a lot of research on what quality I could get for a fair price, and this is what I came up with. Honestly I’ve never had something better than a GC so I have nothing to compare it to. I’m sure I couldn’t spent more money to get something a lot more crisp. But I think the picture looks great and does the job for what I paid for it. Honestly it could be a lot better with a gaming PC but like I said I’ll have to find that out later. I haven’t had any problems with the screen or how it functions. The brightness kind of bleeds into the corners like some people have said, but you don’t really notice unless the screen is completely black or it’s a dark environment. But honestly I figured out if I have it at the right height and angle relative to how high I am sitting, it fixes that issue for the most part. Overall if you’re looking for a better picture quality and a lot better refresh rate over a tv without giving an arm and a leg up, I would highly recommend this monitor. The only problem I had was the monitor doesn’t click into the stand for some reason so it’s just kind of hooked onto it. But I’m sure I could fix it if I actually took the time to look at it. As long as you have it on a flat surface that does rock to extreme angles then it should be alright.

> 3 dayFirst off: In this price range, this is the best monitor that checks off the most boxes in my opinion. -Gorgeous, color accurate display that covers 95% DCI-P3 color gamut -Buttery smooth 144hz -Quite good contrast, despite being an IPS panel -FOUR USB 3.0 ports?! Insane -Gsync compatible, even with HDR despite what is said -HDR that I think looks pretty solid for the level -Great viewing angles -Minimal if any backlight bleed -Very adjustable stand & Vesa Mountable I did tons of research before choosing a monitor. I thought about getting the LG Ultragear for $80 more. However, it has worse contrast, no wider color gamut, and no USB ports. It really felt like I would be getting a lot less while paying more. Many others had similar but lesser specs, or cost way more. This is the perfect sweet spot and is a banger of a deal. That being said, Acer QC could use a bit of work. This is my third monitor. My first one ghosted like it was on Scooby-Doo and would occasionally flicker. The second one was DOA. This one has had absolutely no issues and has been fantastic. With Amazons return policy and fast shipping it was not much of a headache getting replacements. I highly recommend this monitor if you are looking for a 1440p 144hz IPS Panel with tons of features!

> 3 dayThis is an excellent LCD HDR monitor. I have never used HDR but have previously used 144hz 2k monitors (Acer XG270HU for reference). My other Acer 2k monitor uses a TN panel, which has poor viewing angles and color reproduction, but this one produces excellent colors after I changed the color bit depth to 10bpc and configured the monitor colors. I only have a couple of games which support HDR but one I tried (Red Dead Redemption 2) looks amazing, though it was somewhat difficult to get working correctly. Pros: VESA compatible Extremely bright Excellent Wide Color Gamut reproduction Height Adjustable (I remember reading a couple of reviews saying it had no height adjustment, but it does) 144Hz QHD 27 is the perfect combination of resolution, refresh rate, and pixel size Cons: Was a little difficult to set up HDR in windows and be sure everything was working correctly.

17-11-2024Ive used this monitor for roughly a year and have no complaints other then the HDR looking a bit dull and the brightness being quite poor. I recently bought an ROG monitor and Im blown away with the difference in response and picture quality. If you can find this for a really good deal 150-200$ it would be worth it I suppose, but just pay the 300$ for the Asus.

> 3 dayIm more on the color accuracy side of things than gaming, but I wanted the high refresh panel for gaming when I would. I can confirm this is a native 10 bit panel, however you need to use displayport to use hdr and anything past 60hz and 1440p. Displayport 1.2 and 1.3 support 1440p 120hz 10bit chrome 4:4:4, but you need dp 1.4 to use 144hz with this configuration. Hdmi will not support this at all with 120hz, or youll have to drop down to 1080p You can use windows hdr with this panel and see anything you want in hdr (youtube vids, hdr movies) but non hdr content looks terrible and washed out unless you turn off hdr manually in windows and the monitor settings. This is a windows problem not a display one. Any hdr content on this gets extremely bright and the blacks are still very very dark. You can use it next to a window no problem. I actually recommend you use this monitor with lots of ambient light, getting it to darken for indoor usage means you loose some shadow details Screen uniformity is amazing. See attached pictures, theres is no banding or dirty effects. Backlight uniformity is pretty good but not 100%. I didnt attach a picture because the camera made it look way way worse than it really looked in real life. I used stock settings for those screen uniformity pictures (brightness 50, contrast 50, bfi off, gamma 2.4) Its using an ahva panel from what I can tell, I dont think the viewing angles are at ips levels, and it gets too dark for an ips panel. Its viewing angles angles are still very strong though, close to that of ips screens

Greater than one weekAfter much research and testing of several other gaming monitors, Ive settled on this Acer Nitro 27 1440p IPS 144hz. Do you need 1440p at 27? No, 1080p is OK, but 1440p gives a super sharp image and more space on the screen for tasks. Do you need 144 hz for gaming? You will be blown away by how smooth your game runs on the screen. Massive improvement over 75hz. Yes. Is IPS the best panel tech for beautiful and vibrant color? Yes. It seems like most gamers who dont know better settle for VA or even worse, TN. Unless your an e-sports competitor who requires ultra low GtG response time, theres literally no good reason to run a TN. The Acer is over a hundred bucks cheaper than its nearest competitor of similar specs and quality (ASUS). I didnt really want to spend $400 on a monitor, but once you see the difference between the different panel techs (VA, TN, and IPS), it was very hard to settle for a lesser monitor. This monitor allows Freesync through the full range of hz up to 144hz. The more expensive ASUS does not. That was a deal breaker for me. Getting the Acer for less was just a bonus. The Asus screams high quality though and beats this one in that case for its super solid ergonomic stand and exceptional picture. This Acer is also high quality compared to cheaper monitors such as Viotek, but the stand design results in some wobbling and the height doesnt go quite high enough for me as a tall dude. Overall, Im very pleased with this purchase, my games look gorgeous on it. It comes color calibrated out of the box, so you really only need to dial the brightness into your preference and youre set to play. Super smooth, beautiful rich colors at a large range of viewing angles. These little details add up to an excellent gaming monitor. This monitor doesnt get much hype in social media and stuff but it definitely deserves it. Im an Acer fan now.
