I am a university student using the Acer Nitro XV272U Pbmiiprzx 27 WQHD 144Hz monitor for both completing engineering classwork and playing video games. I can sincerely say that it works beautifully for both of those things. I enjoy the amount of screen real estate, with the 27 size allowing for multiple adequately-sized windows at a time while Im using my desktop computer. The 144Hz refresh rate is super smooth and cool; the 1440p resolution is a noticeable upgrade over my previous 1080p 75Hz Acer monitor; and the brightness / color detail are more than good enough for me. When I am using my Xbox, Im able to use the 120Hz refresh rate option at a resolution of 1440p, which is again a significant upgrade over my previous monitor. Im very satisfied with this monitor and I hope this review helps. See below for pros / cons. Thank you for reading! PROS: 144Hz refresh rate, 1440p resolution, good brightness, great built-in speakers, slim bezels, easy-to-use menu user interface, good port selection (1X DP, 2X HDMI, 4X USB !!!), overall great value for the money CONS: no cable management solutions, sale price of $299.99 may not last forever :( Have a great day!

I took it out of the box set it up turned on all the settings and started playing my xbox series s at 120 fps 1440p very good monitor and good quality. downside speakers aren’t loud would suggest getting some if your playing quiet games.

Has features found in $500 monitors, and a near identical panel to some in that category. I was scared because of the last letter in the model name being different than the more will known version. Dont know what was changed, by the panel is the same. This deal cannot be beat at $250!

170hz 1440p 27” $250 bucks!?! It’s a insane deal coming from a well known brand (sure if you want a cheaper deal look at spectre and pixio type brands). I’m replacing a acer1440p 144hz monitor that costed 80 bucks more! The hdr is ok def better than not having it. 170hz showed up right in windows display settings (using DisplayPort not sure if hdmi is as good). Def has backlight bleed but it’s not as bad as some monitors I’ve had in the past. Really great monitor, thinking about grabbing another to match.

This monitor is great! As someone who plays FPS games like Valorant, CSGO, and etc the monitor is excellent. This colors are little off but you change that with Nvidia Control Panel. I upgraded from a 1080p 165hz display and this new monitor feels night and day. Its so much more responsive, crisp, and smooth while in games. I dont know what to say its just that good. Ive had no issues with this monitor.

Pros: Great value and build quality. Easily adjustable stand height and angle. Very high refresh rate. Included cables are good quality. Cons: Matte screen is meant to diffuse glare, but it instead it seems to add a low amount of uniform glare from any angle. (I would rather just change my monitor angle and have a glossy screen with deeper blacks.) 2K resolution is ok but 4K would be noticeably better. LED, not OLED. For the price, this is a solid monitor. 4.5 stars If you want a 5 star monitor, spend another $500+

If you are looking to step up from FHD, I suggest QHD. I tried 4K and the adoption of 4K isnt there yet. This Acer Nitro has everything I needed for editing photo/video. It features 10-bit colors, so thats 1 billion colors vs the industry standard 8-bit which is only 16 million colors. The Amazon add doesnt state it but it is a true 10-bit monitor. Next, it has Rec.709 profiles already built in so its great for video. It has the 170hz refresh rate so great for high-speed video. Highly recommend, especially at the price.

Resolution is great in the better resolution version. Colors are pretty vibrant. 144hz refresh rate, great. Minimalistic, pretty nice. My problem with it is that during use, in the middle of an intense battle of cold war, my monitor will randomly go blank, black screen, noise will cut out as well. Sometimes just the sound will go and my graphics will still be there. Usually lasts a couple (like 5-10) seconds. But sometimes lasts like 30 seconds and its quite annoying. It could be my computer or settings I use but it seems to more during gaming use, still (more) rarely happens during web browsing and other light(er) tasks but not as often. Its a good monitor but could be better, especially for the price. Its a somewhat fair deal but I would spend a little more on a different monitor if you have the money. Again could be my computer itself or it could be the monitor but why risk it? Ill mess around with my settings a little bit and see if that fixes it but kind of skeptical of any fix with settings. Ill keep you updated. Until then it should be put in save for later if you are looking for a more budget friendly option, but beware it MAY be the monitor or my computer, time will tell.
