Me encanta la calidad de construcción y sobre todo que es muy muy muy rápido!!! Incluso más que mi SSD M.2 que trajo de serie mi laptop. Es fácil de usar y en verdad estoy encantado.

Have been using this for a little over a month now and working like a charm. I had previously used a WD external drive that required a separate power connection as well and one day the cat knocked it off the table and it does not work anymore. This unit only has one cord the data cable and is more than twice as fast as the WD unit I was using before. Will update if I become less happy with the drive or if a year from.now it is still working A OK.

This is my second ADAT ruggedized hard drives. My first one was fried by a power surge through my old Mac. Certainly not the fault of the hard drive. I am REALLY rough on my external drives in transport and that drive stood up to the test which is why I bought two more. I bought a 2 TB and a 4. I use it for my macbook Pro and its REALLY easy to format and partition if you want to do that. I HIGHLY recommend this product! Shipping was fast and the packaging was secure.

Important to FORMAT the drive first then go online and download the valuably useful drive software. This unit is built like a tank. Best armored hard drive I have found in a long time.

I am a tech junky and have external drives as old as 12 years. Some are simply bare drives in enclosures, some are firewire, some are USB 2.0. I even have 8-bay RAID drives running on USB 3.0 or eSATA. Lets just say I have some experience with external drives from many manufacturers. On top of that, I have used them for travel, work, and even sent several through the mail over seas and back! After all these experiences, the ADATA HD710s are by far my favorites. First of all, USB cable storage...PRICELESS! Fast, not the fastest, but fast. Durable: oh yes. I havent tossed them out on a freeway or anything, but I did drop one down a flight of stairs. I think my stairs took more damage. Fair warning: pets think they are chew toys. My drives have bite marks, but still work fine. I have recommended these drives to many of my friends and family and will continue to do so.

Although my initial impression was good (for what you get spec-wise for the cost) after using it more Im beginning to regret my purchase. This device is locked down with a non-upgradable custom system (Meaning you cant update existing Android system or upgrade to newer Android version(s) Its missing options under settings that are seen in most android operating systems (even something as simple as Apps or the option to check for updates, security or feature, both of which dont exist here) which force you to jump through hoops to access, if they exist at all on this custom system install. Trying to go into recovery mode on boot-up to try and force an android system update (this one hasnt been updated since 2017 so not the latest security installed) will yield you a list of Chinese characters with no idea on what to choose or how to get out of the endless loop it will likely put you in (turns out it seems the bottom choice lets it boot up normally, if you can get back to that choice screen after choosing something else from the list) And after giving up on that, youll eventually realize another issue...that being, this thing randomly changes the last 3 entries of its MAC address for its wireless connection, forcing anyone that has an access list for their devices to either change it in their router every time this thing powers off/on/reboots, or to turn off their access list control entirely on their wireless router Honestly, if I knew all this before-hand Id not have spent my money on it. However, as it was relatively cheap (especially considering the base specs it lists) its not really worth the effort of trying to get a refund, as it would be too much trouble trying to figure out how to permanently get rid of all my various personal account info Ive put on the device before returning it (with its gimped/hidden/locked-out features) It comes down to this...if you dont care about access lists for your wireless connection at home, and dont care if the android system never gets updated with no option to check for updates (security, feature or anything else for the base system) let alone upgrades to higher OS version(s) then this is a pretty good deal for the money...otherwise, Id suggest you stay away and opt for a slightly slower (and more expensive) option, but with more secure and updated system and more reliable and standardized access features.

Product arrived on time, in good condition to my porch. It is as advertised and the colors are very nicely done. The black in the picture is actually more of a carbon fiber look. My only concern/complaint is, as others have stated, the USB cord included with the product. The cord is very stiff which makes it difficults to position the HD and I wonder how long the built in holder will last. The connection to the HD itself is a special plug i havent seen used before so it may be hard to find a replacement and it doesnt fit snugly a wiggle of the cord and my mac was screaming about not ejecting it properly. 4 stars for build quality and capacity being as advertised. A better cord and def a five star product

I bought these to do timemachine backups for all my designers Macs. I just got 10 brand new 27 iMacs and since our data servers cant handle all the files due to space constraints my designers were storing their files on their iMacs. At least this way should something happen, we have a backup. Ive used timemachine since it was introduced by Apple years ago and it has saved my bacon many times. These drives are pretty cool looking and all the designers love the look. I purchased 10 of the blue, and one yellow for myself just to be different. The rubber guard do come off if you use force, however, since some of my folks are ham fisted, I guarantee they will at some point drop them, or spill something. Just like the Lacie rugged, I expect them to survive a three-four foot fall with no damage. We will see how they hold up over time. So far, so good...
