> 3 dayafter 2 dead harddrives containing all of my media , the 1st died when i dropped something on the table so the 2nd big external drive was on the floor well one day my lava lamp fell on it, i called it a freak accident so i googled shock proof hardrives , saw the price and performance and look and immediately got the blue one with a 5 foot usb extension that was recoommended for me here ( i think these small drives are meant for laptops ) i like the small ones because its easy to bring all my movies and such anywhere i want it looks like it could go to war and come back , its the smallest external drive ive ever gotten its very small compared to the pics here i want to buy another!

> 3 dayI purchased this hard drive in Sept 2020. I use it for travel and unplug the cable every time it is moved and it stays in a case during travel. By December 2020, roughly used 8 times, the USB cable would only complete the connection if the cable was pushed at an down angle at the drive. I then contacted ADATA for warranty and they asked me to send it in after they verified it was still under warranty I sent the drive in on Dec 12, 2020 and received an email on Dec 17, 2020 that my return was accepted and a new drive was going to be shipped in 3 -5 days. It is now Jan 2021 and I still do not have a replacement drive. It took several calls and emails before I finally talked to someone and was told that the drive was on back order so they could not ship me one. I stated to them that could send me a different drive as long as it had the same specs or a refund because they couldnt even tell me when they were going to get new drives even though I could order the same drive on Amazon and get it tomorrow. I was told that was not an option and I would have to wait. Horrible customer service.

06-04-2025Item arrived as scheduled in excellent condition. Set up was super easy. Just plug one end of the cable to the disk and the other end to a usb port. the two ends are different so you cant plug them in wrong. After plugging in to the usb port the device was ready to use. So far the speed is great and there are no problems. One thing that was not so good was the length of the usb cable. it is extremely short. I have the device sitting on top of my pc tower which is not the optimum place but it works for me.

> 3 daySo far a good fast potable Hard Drive. This is my 2nd Hard drive, ADATA . Have a 1TB drive same as this one. Used it a lot and it still works fine, so I went bigger, For me a good value for the money, easy to use, Light weight, hard to answer, I have it in my hand, I know I have it in my hand at all times.

> 3 dayGreat drive. Performs great when plugged into 3.0 and 3.1 ports. Transferred an entire 2.4TB in less than 1 hour! Only quirk is the port cover could be a better more rugged design.

> 3 dayI bought these to do timemachine backups for all my designers Macs. I just got 10 brand new 27 iMacs and since our data servers cant handle all the files due to space constraints my designers were storing their files on their iMacs. At least this way should something happen, we have a backup. Ive used timemachine since it was introduced by Apple years ago and it has saved my bacon many times. These drives are pretty cool looking and all the designers love the look. I purchased 10 of the blue, and one yellow for myself just to be different. The rubber guard do come off if you use force, however, since some of my folks are ham fisted, I guarantee they will at some point drop them, or spill something. We will see how they hold up over time. So far, so good...
