> 3 dayItem arrived as scheduled in excellent condition. Set up was super easy. Just plug one end of the cable to the disk and the other end to a usb port. the two ends are different so you cant plug them in wrong. After plugging in to the usb port the device was ready to use. So far the speed is great and there are no problems. One thing that was not so good was the length of the usb cable. it is extremely short. I have the device sitting on top of my pc tower which is not the optimum place but it works for me.

> 3 dayWhat could be simpler. USB 3, plug and play and backup your computer. ADATA ssds seem to be reliable and are very reasonably priced. I bought this one to backup my Linux computer and it works as well as the other one did for Windows 10. No problems whatsoever.

> 3 dayThis is my second ADAT ruggedized hard drives. My first one was fried by a power surge through my old Mac. Certainly not the fault of the hard drive. I am REALLY rough on my external drives in transport and that drive stood up to the test which is why I bought two more. I bought a 2 TB and a 4. I use it for my macbook Pro and its REALLY easy to format and partition if you want to do that. I HIGHLY recommend this product! Shipping was fast and the packaging was secure.

> 3 dayI am a tech junky and have external drives as old as 12 years. Some are simply bare drives in enclosures, some are firewire, some are USB 2.0. I even have 8-bay RAID drives running on USB 3.0 or eSATA. Lets just say I have some experience with external drives from many manufacturers. On top of that, I have used them for travel, work, and even sent several through the mail over seas and back! After all these experiences, the ADATA HD710s are by far my favorites. First of all, USB cable storage...PRICELESS! Fast, not the fastest, but fast. Durable: oh yes. I havent tossed them out on a freeway or anything, but I did drop one down a flight of stairs. I think my stairs took more damage. Fair warning: pets think they are chew toys. My drives have bite marks, but still work fine. I have recommended these drives to many of my friends and family and will continue to do so.

> 3 dayI bought these to do timemachine backups for all my designers Macs. I just got 10 brand new 27 iMacs and since our data servers cant handle all the files due to space constraints my designers were storing their files on their iMacs. At least this way should something happen, we have a backup. Ive used timemachine since it was introduced by Apple years ago and it has saved my bacon many times. These drives are pretty cool looking and all the designers love the look. I purchased 10 of the blue, and one yellow for myself just to be different. The rubber guard do come off if you use force, however, since some of my folks are ham fisted, I guarantee they will at some point drop them, or spill something. Just like the Lacie rugged, I expect them to survive a three-four foot fall with no damage. We will see how they hold up over time. So far, so good...

> 3 dayI’m no computer hacking wizard who needs this device for an extreme take down of some sorts, but it works perfectly for me to transfer/store my; pictures, stories and music onto my newer laptop-while still having more room for future needs. I didn’t look at the reviews until after I bought it. But I’m extremely happy with this and would 100% recommend it to anyone who needs it for the basic stuff.
