5ghz radio is failing 3 months after purchase. Needs constant reboots to keep speed up.

This router was easy to setup. I like how you can configure different settings from the phone app. Setting a VPN was not too difficult either.

I had an Asus AX82U in a mesh network with an AX55 to cover my 2 story house and basement. It worked well but I got the bug to upgrade so I ordered this. Setup was easy. I disconnected all of the previous system before connecting this unit. I have Spectrum 300 Mbps service that is very solid, gets 370 24/7. This router covered my whole house by itself better than the mesh network did. A powerhouse beast. Ive read that routers vary in features but not in coverage. Not so with this unit. I added the AX82U as a node on the opposite side of my house because I had it but it really wasnt needed.

I upgraded from a mesh setup with an RT-AC86U (this is “AX” instead of “AC”) with two AC1900 mesh nodes. So far, the upgrade was really worth it. My speed definitely increased (I used to average 200mbs when I tested and now I’m at 350mbs) Also, I only need one mesh mode now instead of two.

This is by far the best router I have ever had. Set up is a breeze. My son is a gamer so it is great to give him the bulk of the bandwidth. Even with him playing I am able to stream anything I want. We have 6 devices hooked up at the same time and it keeps everything in priority. Way better then the junk my ISP gave me. What a difference it has made! Do yourself a favor and get it. You will not regret!

So happy with this router. I used Netgear for many years but had so many issues with a new router. I did some research and saw how ASUS AX5700 was a top router in 2022. And they were right. Great speeds. You can also use the Aimesh to extend your coverage. I dont even need it in my house but I just want to use it. Great product, will be an ASUS user for a long time.

I purchased this device based on recommendations from some computer/networking magazine reviews. Setup only took a few mins including plugging in router: the quick start guide is very clear. Customization of lan and wifi settings is as easy as it gets. Accordingly I did not rate tech support. This router was purchased to upgrade a home network from existing 802.11n wifi router connected to modem with comcast 400mpbs service. The old router was unable to deliver the full 400 mbps even over wired gig ethernet port. The Asus router, otoh, easily delivers the 400 mbps plus about 12%. I was impressed with the difference 11ac makes over 11n. Some devices I had thought to be laggards now deliver over 400 mbps vs old rates of < 50 mbps. The wifi signal reaches all corners of our two story 3000sf house with good signal strength: better than from previous devices that left some dead spots. I will update in a few months after I give some of the more advanced features a tryout.

Love it, stays connected

Two dead units in a row - each one refused to turn on after a very short period of use. They both came with different power supplies so it seems like either ASUS or Amazon is aware of the issue and just doesnt really care. Extremely unhappy with both Amazon customer support for being incredibly inflexible and unhelpful, and with ASUS who clearly do not care about the quality of the products they produce. AVOID - FIND A DIFFERENT BRAND.

Recently upgraded from my ASUS ACX3200 and this router is one of the best routers out there. Simply put, the two best things about this is the speeds and interface. Speeds: Wi-Fi speed literally quadrupled. Interface: Setting up the router as well as using the ASUS app made this a seamless experience from beginning to end. Highly recommended as my original ASUS has been going strong since 2016. I expect this to do the same.
