> 24 hourSo far so good. Everything was able to connect and like the interface with the phone app and the ability to have parental controls and limit hours. All the complaints I have read, so far, haven’t seen it and I’m able to pull over 100 Megs for my service. I’ll update after a while to see if there is anything else.

> 24 hourThe 2.4 ghz signal constantly drops out and has terrible range. 5ghz is consistently fine, but a lot smart devices don’t work on 5ghz.

> 24 hourI purchased my ASUS router to replace a 15 year old router. What a difference! Wifi speeds increased from 30 megabits to 367 megabits and the range expanded dramatically. I was able to take my two wifi boosters offline and still have a great signal throughout my house. The ASUS router has a MESH option but the signal is so strong I dont need it. Wired and wireless speeds are the same almost everywhere in my home. Set up was pretty much plug and play. The ASUS router ap allows me to monitor and control the router direct from my phone or via laptop. Im very pleased with my purchase.

> 24 hourTried out the Netgear and TP Link routers as well, and this one got me the best download speeds with the most customizeable setting on the interface. Download speeds of 550-650 mbps on wifi on my gigabit internet.

> 24 hourThis has been an excellent router. This replaced a Netgear XR1000 that continuously had issued with router access. I had been a loyal Netgear buyer for years but this ASUS product has changed that. Netgear makes you connect via the phone app that would just give me the spinning circle and then after a few minutes no access. The ASUS RT-AX88U has been awesome as it works and I can access the router via my desktop and get a complete picture of what is going on with my network. I have over 50 clients connected with 36 of them via wi-fi with no issues. The signal strength has greatly improved as in my office my wi-fi signal on my phone with the Netgear was only 2 out of 4. With the ASUS I now have full 4 bars of wi-fi. My house is over 2700 sq ft and I have great coverage in every room. Now my Echos all work with no issues as do all my wi-fi connected devices. Been a night and day experience with the ASUS compared to the Netgear. The ASUS works with my Netgear switches and my Starlink modem all with no issues. Highly recommend this product.

> 24 hourPurchased this 10/2021 and after setting it up the wi-fi speeds were insane. The first 5 days I was extremely pleased. Then, as others have stated, the wi-fi started randomly dropping. Working from home, this has become a serious issue but par for the course for Asus. As others have recommended, I have disabled the ax mode and I will hope for the best. I wont even mess with the AI mesh as there are major issues there. Firmware has been upgraded when initially set-up and I will continue to update if anything changes. When the router works, its beyond excellent, but seriously aggravating with the wi-fi and AI mesh issues.
