First time I got a premium router , I mean this price range, I love the customization, the performance, the extra features, is amazing! as a parent you can just punish with low speed or no internet to your kids.

After reading CNET I got synology router rt2600ac and for some reason it performed same as my ISP router which is worse. Then I tried TP-Link AX 6000 it is very good router but only 3 years protection with Trend micro. This Asus router performed way better than those two and have life time protection from Trend micro with similar price. I have no idea why there are so many negative reviews but it took barely 10 minutes to setup the network and enable all the settings like aiprotection. I will update if I find any issues. So far the best one.

I’m using it as a mesh router and to be honest mesh routers are not what they are portrayed to be it’s basically just a Wi-Fi extender just better integrated. At least I assumed it would be just like connecting to the source but I was incorrect but still works just fine just not quite as fast as the source.

Bought this because my new Spectrum router does not have the capability to connect my 2.4g smart plugs. This device wont connect to my smart plugs or my Roku Streaming Stick. Their support staff was pathetic and impossible to understand. So they were no help. So it will be shipped back so I can get one that will work.

I dont recommend it. Often times the WiFi resets. I didnt expect that a device of this class would behave like a cheap router.

Easy install

Amazing router, instantly plug and play and noticed which devices were consuming massive amounts of bandwidth.

I purchased the Asus to upgrade my wifi signal. The unit was easy to install and I was amazed at the signal strenght, as there were no dead spots in my 4 level home. The user interface was easy to use and far exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately, I was unable to connect my 2 network printers and my security cameras. I called support and after a half hour wait, was told that my printers (Lexmark and Okidata) were not supported! They suggested that I call tech support for my security system. After several failed attemps to correct the issues, I packed up the Asus for return and reconnected my old Cisco router. Customer support was inept, checking service manuals. They were poorly trained and not familiar with their technology.
