> 3 dayBefore purchasing this router I was running an Asus AC88U. To be honest this newer router is more of the same. It’s extremely reliable. Although I don’t believe I’ll see any of the benefits of this router until I get some Wi-Fi 6 devices. I’m giving this router five stars because I still believe it’s one of the best routers on the market. If you already have an Asus AC88U this is not much of an upgrade unless you have Wi-Fi 6 devices or are adding this device to a mesh network with other Asus wireless routers. That’s when this router really shines. By the way Overtime software updates add new features which is something I’m not used to with routers. Usually to get new features you have to buy a new router. I expect it to be no different with the AX88U.

> 3 dayI have a 600 Mbps symetric connection at home and the computer connected directly to the Ethernet point (without this router) it gives full speed (around 630 / 610 mbps, so the cable, point ot whatever is not the problem) but thru this RT-AX88U with WiFi 6 or ethernet port can have at most 400 down and 200 up Mbps.

> 3 dayWe upgraded our FIOS box and also purchased the Verizon Fios Router G3100. The same day, we started to experience frequent wifi drops...like never before. Two full time WFH jobs and 2 full remote kiddos with every 5-10 min drops was a nightmare needless to say. Verizon can only say everything looks good on our end after rebooting router and their main box. They never once asked I wonder if the router is defective or knew anything about the router to begin with. 5 Days in, talking to different agents, we got the same responses. We knew we had to take matters into our own hands and looked into getting a new router asap. Then came this Asus router (I was pleasantly surprised the hubby chose this one as all my laptops are Asus Zenbooks), and at first, our hope was crushed as the red light remained red 15 mins in the installation (which meant plugging it in and waiting for lights to change) BIG SIGH, but then the hubby said let me try one more thing - he had to plug the ethernet cable into the router and play with the router settings on the laptop - then the magic white (green?) lights came on and the red light disappeared. Whoohoo! Then more excitement as we tested the speed on our devices, walking around the house, all the way on the other end of the house and no drops, wifi signal remained strong. As I write this - it has been 5 full days of wifi bliss. Thank you Asus router. Stay away from Verizon G3100!

> 3 dayNot going to lie, definitely loving this router. Not a single drop, great signal strength, and so many future proofed features included. Haven’t had to use support, but this router has been outstanding for consumer grade networking equipment.

> 3 daySeemed to be ok for a little while. Now that Im working from home everyday I am constantly having issues with connectivity. 2-3 times per day. I update the firmware every time it comes out and it never seems to get any better. I would return it but Im out of the return time frame.

> 3 dayMy son purchased a ASUS AX6000 WiFi 6 Gaming Router (RT-AX88U) 2 + years ago. I thought it was a great product so I purchased one for myself - USED VERY GOOD on Amazon. After 2 years +, I have not had a single issue. The WiFi is plenty strong and having 8 Gig ports is fantastic. I’ve read that others had problems with the 2.4 range, but I haven’t seen any issues on son’s our my router. I like that I can choose between the two frequencies depending on my hardware. The app is easy to use.

> 3 dayThe best router hands down. So easy to set up and safe also. I recommend that you get this in place of a bad and signal problem router.
