> 3 dayProduct works as designed. Had to reset the device to get it to autoconfigure properly, would recommend that to new purchasers. Also, new firmware update was identified with the mobile app.

> 3 dayWouldnt recommend. It wouldnt recognize or connect to the node out if the box. Had to reset everything and load the latest software to get it to connect. Then once connected it would disconnect when separated by more than 10 feet, even though they were still in line of sight.

Greater than one weekI wanted to upgrade to 6E and I really liked the feature list on the Asus. I have my two ET8s paired with a ROG GT-AXE11000 functioning as the router with the two ET8s as the satellites.

01-04-2025I’ve had a 2-pk set for a few weeks now. I configured it and updated firmware and adding devices was simple. The management GUI is nice and modern but it is where some of the bugs are. It reports 6E WiFi devices as 5. I also had initial difficulty joining 6E WiFi cards and contacted ASUS support several times. The resolution was to update Win10 to the 21H1 optional update. Prior to that I made a registry update just to see the 6E band from one of my PCs but it still couldn’t join, until I updated Windows. I discovered this resolution from my own research, without the aide of ASUS support. As to their support, I can’t recommended their e-mail support. They mostly come across as techs I’ve encountered in my career that just want to update/work their tickets vs truly helping the customer—it’s all too common and not unique to ASUS. Also, I still have one ticket open…the ET8 product is not even listed in their product registration pull down menu on their own product registration page. So far I’ve sent a copy of my invoice and provided both serial numbers. Next I’m going to try to just mail them the registration card that came in the unit and see what happens. As for device performance on this mesh network…it’s outstanding. I upgraded to this mesh network from a high end single unit with two repeaters—my device performance is now incredible. I have 49 IPs throughout my property in use. I suspect the management app bugs will get ironed out in time, especially as this product becomes more popular and ASUS gets more end user feedback.

> 3 dayWorks for me no problem. Have had no issues so far, no drop offs no speed issues. Also I have a ton of smart gadgets all working and connected just fine. The 6E backhaul is a charm.

> 3 dayI have a 3,000 sq ft home with some unique layout issues for Wifi signals. I started with the Orbi system which had good performance but had reliability issues (the router had to be restarted multiple times) to resolve. I then replaced the Orbi system with the Linksys AX5300 and AX4200. I had 2 units of the AX5300 but i needed an extra unit of the AX4200 so that I can get a good signal to the external ring camera by the garage. I also needed an extra unit of the AX4200 to reach the master bedroom (the farthest point from the modem/router). So i had 4 units altogether to get good coverage. However my Alexa devices took multiple requests to get to the internet, and the Ring Camera took a couple of requests to get the streaming video. So i purchased and installed the 2 Asus Zen Wifi and these 2 units are outperforming the 4 Linksys units. It easily gets a good signal to the external Ring Cameras and I no longer have to ask Alexa twice or the Ring Camera twice. The bandwidth on the wifi has increased from 300 mbps to 500 mbps according to Ookla speed tests. The latency is better, the connection is solid and reliable and Im very impressed with this performance.

Greater than one weekWorked fine for several months. This morning It was bricked by an OTA update. Wifi would die after ~8 minutes repeatedly.
