> 3 dayJust purchased and set this up. The Asus ZenWIFI Mesh ET8 setup fairly quickly using the downloadable app compared to the PC interface, maybe since I was overwhelmed with all the selections. System came up and worked first time as my first Mesh router system, including the Firmware updates to both units. Once complete, connection of devices both wired and WiFi are working well. So far so good. Documentation as others mentioned could be better.

> 3 dayRouter will start restarting every 10 minutes. I cannot stop this behavior at all. Completely useless after barely 2 years.

> 3 dayThese were announced by Asus in June 2021, and released broadly around August. Availability was limited and most places didn’t have them in stock until end of 21 / beginning of 22. I just received word that it is “end of life” and would not be receiving firmware updates. A $600 router system that has 1.5 years of support? How long does Asus expect people to keep a product like this? If I want to keep my 1 year old very expensive WiFi 6E router system - I have to live with security vulnerabilities because Asus won’t update the firmware.

17-11-2024Paired this with the Arris SB8200 to upgrade my home network. Chose this particular unit because it only broadcasts two bands (wired back haul) and the aesthetic goes with our home. My home is wired, so a wired back haul was ideal over other units that broadcast 3 bands with 1 designated for backhaul.

> 3 dayThis would not maintain a good signal upstairs for us. Our house is not that large, around 1900 sq ft 1960s houseand this would not allow any devices upstairs to reach over 30 MBPS. Tech support decided we had a defective unit. We replaced it and it still had the same issue so we returned. Might work in newer homes,

> 3 dayNo matter what setting I try, I cannot get 6e to broadcast the SSID. I never expected ASUS to fail me like this.

> 3 dayHorrible product. Restarts constantly. now one of the nodes has bricked. Asus service is the worse to even get to place to return the product. i have been able to even do this yet.

> 3 dayI bought this pair in March of this year. Now, 10 months later, one of the pair (the primary of course) keeps dropping signal and providing *slow* throughput to the internet and on the local network. I can restore normal operations if I unplug it and plug it back in 10 seconds later. Rebooting does NOT work.

> 3 dayImproved internet speed, range and reliability. Highly recommend

> 3 dayI grabbed this back in February of this year, and it worked fine for about two months or so. Then last month the secondary node just stopped connecting to the mesh anymore and we had to factory reset both to get anything to work again. And now the whole thing goes down every few hours and needs to be rebooted - sometimes a couple times before both nodes show up in the app and everything functions again. Will absolutely never be buying another networking solution from ASUS after this.
