> 3 dayI have had the router since December 2022, so approximately 3 months. During that time we have experienced near daily disconnections of all WIFI devices from the WAN connection. WIFI devices are able to connect to the network, but lose all access to the internet through it. Wired connections are completely unaffected.

03-04-2025I’ve had other ASUS products in the past, and have been very pleased. This product does not live up to the hype. But I’m most disappointed in their customer support.

> 3 dayWorked for 4 months, of course past the return window. It does have a 2 year warranty, but only for service so you are without internet for 2 weeks+ for the warranty, thats a great option for everyone. Will never buy another ASUS product.

> 3 dayIn the very beginning I was a little disappointed. Set up was pretty easy. I have about 30 smart devices. Most of them worked fine with a few exceptions, but I noticed after a few firmware updates it adjust and worked fine with my google home ecosystem. I have the main router on the 1st floor and the second node on the second floor. The controls over the system are pretty extensive and you have to play around with them to figure them all out. The parental controls are very good, but not as simple and intuitive as the google wifi system. As for speed it is up and down, but I am not sure that is the router fault as optimum is upgrading their internet speed system. I pay for 1GB speed but I get speeds are low as 200mb to as high as 800gb. I dont expect 1GB speed, but I would like something closer to it. I have found since the time I have set it up about a month ago to now it is performing much better. I still have drops but they are getting fewer and fewer. My hope is when optimum gets 2gb or 5Gb services I will see the real benefits of the router. Since I bought the router to future proof my system I have to wait to see where the speeds are. My hope is to have the system the next 5-7 years. For the money I think in terms of now its a little overpriced, but I bought it due to the overwhelming positive expert reviews. For the average person I think the tp link or linksys would do the job at about half the price.

> 3 dayThe installation docs were terrible. After working with an Asus tech we did a simple install and the remote routers were installed as AiMesh routers. If the install instructions used this method, I would have avoided the multiple problems I encountered.

Greater than one weekAmazon has mixed apples and oranges with these ratings. The ASUS ZenWiFi Whole-Home Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi “6E” System (ET8 2PK) versus the ASUS ZenWiFi AX6600 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi “6” System (XT8 2PK), are two distinctly different products. I own the ASUS AXE11000 router, which I bought just for the 6E capability. Its Wi-Fi 6E is great if you are about 6 feet away. Its located in my basement and if I stand on the floor directly over where the router is located, I can see 6E nicely on my Samsung S20 Ultra. But move a few feet away and Im back to 5 GHz. Nice but no cigar. So in desperation I added the ASUS 6E pair. Both upstairs, and both as wired satellites. Bingo! My whole house now has 6E and my Wi-Fi speeds are as advertised. My Windows 11 PC with a 6E adapter now works too. I can recommend the 6E, ET8 2PK system, but know nothing about the ASUS XT8 2PK system. Amazon needs to separate the ratings for these two radically different systems.

> 3 dayFirst off I have had a few different wifi solutions in my home. After researching and reading reviews I opted for the dual band model using cat5 as a backhaul between the 2 pods(cat5 prewired in home). Coverage around my house is great, and I dont have any drop out or band change issues. With over 30 devices connected the system seems to balance things well. Easy install and app is user intuitive imo.

> 3 dayThis was simple to install and solved our problem of dead spots for wifi service in our home. All areas are now covered satisfactorily.
