> 3 dayBaby and I love it !! We bought the first book Back in April 2020. After learning the songs and singing them almost everyday, I just had to get the second book! My now 8 month old baby constantly reaches for both the bao bao books and instantly calms down after I start singing or playing the lovely melodies. I’m so glad that it’s finally available for purchase! I highly recommend this book for non-native mandarin speakers as the songs really help you to learn and follow along. Although it’s a bit of an expensive purchase, it’s a great investment for any child’s introduction to mandarin chinese. Please make a third book in Cantonese !!

> 3 dayWe received this book for free in a promotion. My 4-year-old loves listening to the songs. The book is beautiful, with a sturdy board book construction, cute illustrations, lovely music and singing, and the lyrics in characters, pinyin, and English. A nice book to share with a child to learn some Chinese and enjoy some music.

> 3 dayThis is our #2 book. We bought the #1 one too. Easy to follow, beautiful songs, but it will be great if there are more graphics/pictures to sing along with the lyrics. My 22 months old woke up this morning, went straight for the book, sat down by himself, press the If you are Happy song button, and clap his hands to it. A Happy Bao Bao is a Happy MaMa :)

Greater than one weekWe are trying to teach our infant and toddler Chinese and these books are great. (I dont speak Chinese, my wife speaks some). Unlike most kids toys/books, the songs are pleasant to listen to for us parents, and according to my wife have clear pronunciation. This book and the second book from this company are my kids favorite books, and the older one specifically looks for it when its not around. I gave one to my sister/brother-in-law and their kids(also learning chinese) love it too. My toddler tends to destroy the things she loves, and Ive had to make a couple of repairs (taping pages, glueing the electronics back on). Still, giving the book a 5 for durability because its built as well as any other high-quality board book and shes destroyed others (melissa&doug of similar quality) in the same way.

20-11-2024In truth my LO would have said LOVE the first book and like the second. LO plays the first book a lot more than the second. I enjoy the songs in both and listening to them helps me learn mandarin as well. We liked the first book and my LO would play it often. I jumped to get the second one as I needed more mandarin books in circulation. This book is great overall. Cute pictures, good music, and cute songs. The pages are thick for little hands to turn. Weve had the first one for about a year and this second one for maybe 6 months; still in great shape. I saw a review complaining about the length of the songs. Some are a bit lengthy though there are English songs just as long or longer. I also like that it is styled like the first book with the buttons and panda images. My only wish is that this book would have traditional chinese characters with phonetic as well. I want my LO to learn both.
