Greater than one weekIm an expecting mother and was so excited to receive this book as a gift! The book comes beautifully packaged with batteries included. The artwork and music are so cute! Even though I dont know Chinese, its easy to follow the Chinese lyrics with the songs. (My favorite is My Dear Mom -- so sweet!) I cant wait to read this with my baby -- it will be a fantastic learning experience for my whole family. This is the perfect addition for her nursery! I highly recommend Bao Bao Learns Chinese for new and expectant mothers!

> 3 dayWe have a lot of Chinese books, but it is really hard to get anything of quality in the US. Many are written in a way that doesn’t make grammatical sense. This was pretty good. Some of the songs translated are a bit forced. For If Your Happy and you know it. We usually sing “Ni Hen Gao Xing, Ni Jiu Pai Pai Shou” which I find to be a more fluent adaptation of the song. Also, I prefer this book. Chinese Nursery Rhymes Sound Book with Pinyin, Chinese and English. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Z4LS2B5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_D3xoFbXV89TZ5 It has classic Chinese songs, sung in a more pleasing voice and music quality. I also like that unlike this book, Cali’s books has each button for a song on each of the pages, much more intuitive for kids. This book puts all the buttons on the right side where the music box is.

> 3 dayI bought Vol 1 and Vol 2 on this series, with Vol 2 arrived broken. Vol. 1 is not much better. This Pei Pei lady definitely is not a trained singer. In addition, my wife notice two of the songs are incorrectly with the Chinese, e.g. The two tiger song. I have already return Vol. 2.

> 3 dayMy 16 months old and 3.5 years old both like this book. The quality of this product is high, I personally like the singing that was very neutral and not cheesy at all. They picked 6 classic children songs in Chinese in this book that my younger kid loves to sing and dance with it. It’s very easy to play it — they can just press the buttons by themselves, and it kept my younger kid busy for quite a while!

> 3 dayMy son adores this one just as much as he loves the first bao bao book we got him. He gets really excited to push the buttons and listen to the whole song before moving on to the next. He favors if youre happy and you know it from this book. So impressed from both of these books.

> 3 dayI love it! My baby loves it! No, its not perfect (sound quality is 8/10, timing between verses is too short so it throws off the rhythm, selection buttons are not easy for a baby to press) but it is still one of our favorite books/toys! Its a fun way to learn and teach Chinese words.

> 3 dayWe bought this book because we loved the first book! The second book was also equally amazing. Our little one (1 year old now) always grabs one of these books for us to read to him. He picks it up and demands that we sing! Great for those who are just learning Chinese. I was born in the US and learned mandarin growing up, but my literacy was soso. This book really allows for all skill levels to use.

05-06-2025We bought this book because the first BaoBao book was such a hit for my 2 year old. She is obsessed with this new book and all of its songs, and listens to it as soon as she wakes up. After a few weeks with this book, she has matched the buttons with the pages, can sing the songs in Chinese with, and sing the corresponding English song (where appropriate). This book has taught my daughter so much without requiring me to be actively teaching! Amazing!!!
