This book is adorable! My daughter had been learning Chinese with her grandparents but won’t be able to see them for a while, so we got this book to help her remember. She loves listening to the tunes. They’re cute and catchy! The book is so well illustrated, and I love that the lyrics are written in Chinese l, Pinyin, and English. I got this book before the first in the series, but I’m definitely going to buy the first one now too.

Let me tell you, my daughter LOVES music and this book has quickly become her favorite! She is 2.5 and loves that it has songs she already knows (and a few new ones) but it helps her connect with the songs even if they are in a language she doesn’t know. She sings some of the words of songs she’s always singing now in mandarin (or best she can mimic it), it’s the sweetest thing and really has me thinking she could pick up a language if I worked on it with her through songs and rhymes! I am loving it too because I can sing along (best I can) thanks to the phonetic spelling of each word! I may not get it all correct but it’s fun to try and I find myself thinking of the mandarin when I sing the English!

Found out about this book and my then two year old asked me to get it for him. He is now three years old and he still enjoys reading it every week. He can now sing along with the songs. It is great that there is a lower volume option or higher volume option. Buy this book! You will not regret it!

This is the second time we bought a Bao Bao book. Our little one LOVES them! The only issue was the plastic musical part on the book didnt have enough glue and fell off. Its okay though, we just play it separately and can glue it on again if desired. This author did a really great job with the music, pictures and song choice for both books. If only there were more great bilingual Chinese/English books to buy on Amazon.

Ordered this as a gift, and my cousins love them! Very recommended.

A good companion for the first BaoBao book.

We are trying to teach our infant and toddler Chinese and these books are great. (I dont speak Chinese, my wife speaks some). Unlike most kids toys/books, the songs are pleasant to listen to for us parents, and according to my wife have clear pronunciation. This book and the second book from this company are my kids favorite books, and the older one specifically looks for it when its not around. I gave one to my sister/brother-in-law and their kids(also learning chinese) love it too. My toddler tends to destroy the things she loves, and Ive had to make a couple of repairs (taping pages, glueing the electronics back on). Still, giving the book a 5 for durability because its built as well as any other high-quality board book and shes destroyed others (melissa&doug of similar quality) in the same way.

Good Chinese learning book. My 19-month old loves it! Yet, just FYI, as a native Chinese speaker, the Chinese pronunciation for if is a bit off. Other than that, good buy!
