THE BEST EVER.

A little pricey but well worth it to me! The use of paracord is an excellent idea but more important to me is the LARGE ferro rod itself. Easy to use with hands well into their 6th decade and makes teaching the youngsters a breeze. No doubt this will serve me well for many seasons to come.

Love this one for shear size and ease of use. Will last a long time and easy to attach to belt or belt loop to keep it attached to me when not in use.i highly recommend this rod.

I bought this rod after researching several on Amazon. It works great. The paracord lanyard that attaches the striker is convenient. The overall product works very well. I have started dozens of fires with minimal wear. I bought a backup at a surplus store and it was not this brand. It was terrible by comparison. I highly recommend this product and have already bought another.

I bought three of these last Christmas. Both of my sons and I have used them several times to get a fire going. The striker works a little better than using the back of my knife but either gets me a good shower of hot sparks. I like the size of the rod. The cord and striker are nice extras that make for a simple, reliable fire starting system.

Best buy for a rod of this size and with a paracord lanyard

Decided to try this out the minute I opened the package. Went out to gather some wood to buenos a small fire outside. Wood was damp so it didn’t do the best catching fire but the flint and steel sparked up just right and sparked up the tinder after a few strokes. Would definitely recommend as it worked quite beautifully.
