Easy to set up and used. I print mostly in black and white and the quality is excellent. Printer ink seems reasonably priced.

I am surprised at some 5 star reviews that mention the ink cartridge issue. It isnt that buying ink is difficult. It is simply not possible. March 10 and I wont be able to get any ink cartridges until mid April at the earliest. I bought this printer because HP Upgraded the software and I could no longer print or scan. Well, I have the Brother printer and I can no longer print because I have no ink. I am growing a list of companies from whom I will never buy another printer.

Is any product safe from fake reviews? This printer printed one 4-page document, then quit. I went through all the troubleshooting. Wait time for tech support > 30 minutes. Returning.

My husband I both work mostly from home and were looking for a nice wireless printer. This printer suites our needs perfectly. It prints from both bluetooth and wifi printing, and you can even print straight from your phone. Set up/installation was extremely easy and required minimal effort. There are 4 different inks this printer uses for high-quality printing. The inks are around average for price (and you can use one of two different types), compared to a couple other printers we looked at that had expensive ink. The ink is supposed to last a long time, so we will see as time goes on. All inks are also available on Amazon which makes it simple to reorder. Overall, I am pleasantly surprised and extremely satisfied.

I am baffled by the negative reviews. I am 87 years old. I bought this printer a month ago and found it easy to set up if you just follow the written instructions. No need for a cord as we connected it to our wifi the same way we set up home automation devices. I signed up for the Brother trial subscription because I like the idea of paying a tiny charge for copies printed instead of ink used, since all printers waste ink just keeping their printheads clean. When my black ink cartridge started getting low they sent me a new black cartridge at no charge under the free trial subscription. At no time did my printer stop working. I have used Brother printers in the past and they have always lasted a long time and been dependable, and their support in the past has always been very good. If I run into any problems I will update my review.

I am not tech savvy but the set up was a no brainer, easy instructions to follow, perfect for a small home office, definitely a great value.

Waste of money! It doesn’t scan, spits out blank pages when I scan. The initial set up was a pain. I need to return this product and get my money back

Brother MFC-J101DW printer review. The yellow ink had leaked in its bag. I called Amazon Help and they are unable to replace individual parts like the cartridge, even though they sell them, and just offered me the option to return the whole printer. I couldnt face repacking it so I had to go to a local store and buy a replacement cartridge and am now $9 out of pocket on this purchase before I even printed something :( Printer once running seems good. Its fast although a bit noisy, but family love the improved wireless connectivity direct to their phones, laptops and IPADS compared to my older printer.

It prints amazing

I wanted an inexpensive .fast printer to replace my old, broken HP. This one is much faster than my old HP, but I have to educate myself on using the buttons for jams, etc. which is different than HP. However, I do love the printing & speed. It also does 2 sided print.
