Greater than one weeknot an easy set up. so there you go. get a your own risk, prints real nice, but the tray does hold a lot of paper. tray is hard to get in and out to fill. Not only that, You better get on a plan to get black ink cartridges on a regular bases, You dont have an extra, You cant get one very soon. weve been out for 2 or 3 weeks. out of stock. Maybe there is a better way, but I have not found one

> 3 dayThe new printer was defective. It took about 2.5 hours to figure that out, with the help of Brother support. Brother said they would send me a new one, but I would have to wait because they were out of stock. Then I had all the fun of packing up the bad printer and returning it. Hello HP! I will say customer support was pretty good.

> 3 dayYou need to keep in mind this is a $99 printer so you cant expect the world. That being said it has worked well with my limited printing needs. The nozzles and the print head alignment was perfect right out of the box. Scanning seemed to work just fine. Since I live in the modern age I had no use for the fax features. Setup, including unpacking, installing the ink, getting the drivers and setting up on my Mac took about 20 minutes. Not and awful time. Build quality is quite cheap as you might expect from a $99 printer. Top and side flex a bit with little pressure. However, again, everything seems to be working fine. The problem comes in with the ink. The printer comes with all the ink cartridges, colors and black, but they state these are starter packs. I assume this means that there is a limited about of ink compared to the replacements youll need to purchase. Since I didnt want to run out of ink right away I went and priced them. The black one costs $34 and the color pack costs $47. Thats $81 in ink! You have to spend almost the same amount as the whole printer just to replace the ink cartridges! So while the printer works fine, the price is totally misleading. Since the printer just comes with, as they state in the instructions: starter cartridges, you should really look at this printer costing twice the price. Now you are getting into the $200 range. At that price I would look at another printer, that wont cost too much more, that has the far cheaper refillable tanks. You will end up saving money by the third time you have to replace the ink cartridges of these Brother printer. Just my 2 cents!

> 3 dayI ran through the ink cartridges that came with the device and the extra’s I ordered with the machine. I’ve been trying to find some for the last month gave up and joined their subscription and just so I can get some ink. Beware, this may be a regular problem with brothers Inc. I think they want to force you onto their subscription plan if I had realized it would be so difficult to buy ink. I would’ve stayed with HP like I always have, think long and hard and how much pruning you do and if you’re willing to put in a subscription plan before you buy..

> 3 dayI bought this printer and a month later I needed black ink unbeknownst to me, I didn’t realize there was no black ink on the face of the planet for this printer. I’m ready to return it.

> 3 dayDo not buy this thing. The ink has been out of stock for 3 months. The company hasn’t put out a message for us consumers saying something along the lines of “hey we are working on it” they simply don’t care. Also if you try to install off-brand ink, the printer won’t accept it. Seriously do not buy this.

> 3 daySick and tired of HP, I decided to switch to Brother. The printer arrived quickly, packaged adequately, and was super easy to install. Ive always had problems connecting HP printers via Wi-Fi, so Ive always wired them to my computer. This Brother connected via Wi-Fi seamlessly and has held its connection since the initial install. Print quality is fine, scans are a touch on the slow side but thats ok, as long as it stays connected to my computer.
