    Greater than one week

    I had my previous Brother for about 13 years, and I loved it but it finally quit working. Just bought this one in November --- I can not find black ink cartridges for it, hence the printer is unusable. Waste of money to buy this useless printer if you cannot get ink cartridges for it. Colored ones are available, but not black.

    The machine is much faster at scanning and printing than my old cannon printer. Although this does make a loud high pitch noise when doing tasks. Also not much ink in these cartridges. So I took one star off.

    I switched from HP to Brother because I was tired of replacing HP the printers after 1-2 years. So far Im very happy with this printer. I hated the HP Instant Ink system. Always felt I had to watch how many pages I was printing lest I get charged more. The quality of scanning and printing are amazing

    I had zero complaints with this printer and I really liked it. But for some reason brother isnt able to get black replacement cartridges. Ive even contacted brother. So to me, its now useless.
