printers are cheap these days. its the ink that will set you back big $$$s. I am trying out the ez refresh this time around. was not impressed with a competitors version. BEWARE the ink recommended while checking out by amazon IS NOT the ink used by this printer !!! I found that out the hard way !! yay amazon !! still trying to recoup my money on that faux pas. No complaints on the printer itself. it prints scans faxes copies... everything I need at home. the utilities connecting to the computer are a little wonky but that may be a windows 10 issue and not the printer ... I am an HP girl so time will tell

Absolutely amazing. Seriously. You get an excellent printer, superb and relatively quick scanner, copier and fax machine in this incredibly compact chassis. Setup was easy, print quality is first rate and the scanner and document feeder work flawlessly. Paper handling is superb and there have been no jams. I love the buttons as I dont like touch screen controls so this is a big plus too. Quite frankly, theres really nothing to criticize about this little beauty. It connects to my wi-fi network and allows me to print from anywhere in the world right from my phone. The software is good but not great. It certainly allows you to do anything youd want but it could be improved. The previous version (Brother Utilities, IIRC) was considerably better but this is a minor point. If this machine had cost twice what it does I would not have been surprised and I would happily have paid it. How Brother can do this for $99.98 is just incredible. Highly recommended for a small office or home use. [Edit] How a manufacturer can sell a product knowing that they cannot keep ink cartridges in stock is beyond maddening. An inkjet printer without ink is about as useful as a doorstop. Sadly, I have to lower my rating from 5 stars to 3 due to the manufacturers negligence. Frankly I believe we, as a group, should institute a class action lawsuit as they are knowingly selling a product they clearly have to know will be worthless without ink. And they have no ink or even a reliable estimate of when (or if) these ink cartridges will be available. Disgraceful!!!

Through my experience with printers I might have developed a very little expectations, but I just love this printer because it is doing the printing job promptly and without a delay. The quality of the print could be better - however it is plenty enough for what Im using it! If you like a simple and reliable printer, buy that one!

the printer itself feels cheap. the biggest issue is the lack of availability of the black cartridges. none of the local office supply stores have it either, including Staples. 4/21/23 still no black cartridges available I had hoped the company got availability info wrong so checked. I wont buy any Brother product again.

I was using same brand printer before I bought this one. It lasted many years with good service. Thats why I decided to buy another Brother printer.

My computer recognized the printer immediately. Calibrating was very easy with only a small adjustment necessary. I have only used it to print one letter size paper and the print quality was very good. I will update after more extensive use. I use thermal printers more now.

This printer is super complicated to use, constantly disconnects from wifi and Brother offers no support. Don’t buy it. It’s a nightmare. Buy HP.

UPDATE: It is impossible to purchase black ink replacements for this printer. Every possible location is sold out. Have never seen anything like this. Its a shame because this si a great home printer. I was looking for a printer that would set up fast and connect seamlessly to our WIFI. This Cannon fit the bill as promised. I can print from my iPhone, computer, and IPad with no issues and not trama. I had always been an HP customer, but my experience as well as customer reviews say, to stay away, and always need tech support to connect WIFI. No thank you. Happy with my new Cannon.
