> 3 dayThis printer is terrible. It fails to print lines in the middle of documents. I cant figure out how to fix it. I cannot trust it to print. We have to review every page closely. It causes a lot of wasted ink. I would return it if I could figure out how to.

> 3 dayPrinter was easy to set up to my entire home network. Its great communicating from my phones, tablets, and laptop with ease. The only problem I have is the small volume ink cartridges and the expense of them. Its obvious Brother made this model to end bootleg cartridges which are much more affordable. Just another corporation sticking it to Americans with impunity.

> 3 dayGreat printer but ink doesnt last long and ink cartridges are very expensive and you can only find it on Amazon so then you have to wait for it to ship not worth it in the long run more expensive

> 3 dayThis was a struggle at first to get it to stay connected to wi-fi which may have been more of a Optimum issue after all, but its a great little printer, small footprint, good print quality. Once it is hardwired to the desktop computer it prints instantly when you click print. wi-fi can be slower. Tech support was weak from Brother, they had me reinstall a bunch of times and walked me through it, but didnt really understand what the problem was and they told me the wrong cable to get to hardwire it! They said (and the unit says) USB to USB, Nope, its a printer cable. That was frustrating as I purchased a USB to USB cable and had a printer cable here all along. IN the end, Google Mesh installation solved the issue of dropping wi-fi and Google Mesh support was outstanding!

> 3 daythe printer itself feels cheap. the biggest issue is the lack of availability of the black cartridges. none of the local office supply stores have it either, including Staples. 4/21/23 still no black cartridges available I had hoped the company got availability info wrong so checked. I wont buy any Brother product again.

> 3 dayUpdate , the box lasted longer. Every time I had to print or scan I had to spend an hour downloading drivers, uninstalling/ reinstalling. I finally threw the thing put. Dont buy thus thing unless you simply do not have enough frustration in your life. On top of that ink is impossible to find The printer works great but if I knew finding black ink cartridges was next to impossible I would have gotten some thing else. If you want to know just how hard it is go ahead try and find brother 401 black ink cartridges. They will try to sell you the color cartridges but the black cartridges are never available. A printer without ink is basically useless.
