Gave printer a low rating so I could warn folks. Dont get me wrong printer works awesome in all ways. That said, the ink cartridges didnt make it a year. Make sure you order extra as for some reason theyre odd.

I got much better print quality from my 10 year old Epson NX100 using 3rd party ink than this unit with Brother ink. Nothing about the build is quality, loosely assembled thin plastic parts that rattle like a kids toy box. I purchased this from BestBuy because Amazon cancelled the order because it was out of stock, but it is still being advertised as in in stock. Even at the $100.00 price point this is a poor deal. First paper jam and it is going back.

Great printer. One problem and show stopper - you cant get any driver to work on any device for WIFI. For my new laptop with Windows 11, I get an image of a guy with a beard that says I have to disable S Mode. No can do, as it disables important Windows functions and once disabled, you cant reenable. For my new Mac M1, any attempt downloads an image of the icon, not the driver install package itself. For my new Android phone, it asks for the IP address, but does not say of what. So I tried the IP of the phone, the IP of the router, and the IP of the printer. None of them worked. So I tried to contact Brother customer support. Just a run around telling you FAQs all of no value. Need to talk to a live person. For crying out loud, at least have customer support available if you rush a product to market half baked that refuses to download the drivers or let ypu connect them. Unless you are an IT wizard, plan on many hours attempting to troubleshoot the drivers. Just wasted another 3 hours today with zero progress.

Do not purchase!! Printer will not print unless all 4 cartridges have ink. Will not print in either grayscale or black and white.

This is a wicked good printer. Brother has always been my go too even the most basic model from 15 years ago, still works and prints faster than any of the new ones. After dealing with epson, and HP printers for work; it was a nightmare trying to set up and use to just print let along scan or copy. Bought this guy, took 5 mins to set up, faxing and copy is easy breezy. Can print from my phone, works with label paper pristinely. Prints quick and precise. Highly recommend, ignore any bad reviews because NOT my experience

Just figuring out that the black ink cartridges for this printer have been out of stock since 2022. So now I have a printer that can’t print. Completely worthless. This seems like fraud. How can Brother be allowed to sell a product that is unusable? Do not buy this or other Brother printers.

Best Bang for buck printer for following metrics : print quality, pages/toner ratio, online connectivity, print options ( can even print double sided). This printer is perfect option for anyone whos looking for a home printer with basic print, scan, fax with wifi connectivity. Pages per toner is amazing, print quality is amazing, printer is not very big, scan quality is awesome. Setup can be a bit hard but everything goes smoothly after that. Have not found any other printer at this price range that can beat this printer.

You cannot buy black ink for this print anymore. So its basically use up and buy another printer. Just buy a color laser printer.
