Can’t get it to connect to Wi-Fi. The SSID for my house doesn’t show up, but the neighbors wi-if shows up. Trash printer will not buy again.

I do not recommend buying this printer! Its a great printer but the black ink cartridge is not available anywhere - even directly from Brother, who I contacted and who told me that it is available onsite from Staples, but the two stores I went to were out of it. Amazon - nope. Office Depot - nope. Walmart, Best Buy - you get the picture. I cant find one anywhere. The printer comes with a full set of 4 cartridges and the 3 color cartridges are available everywhere - but no black. So if I run out I will have a large, expensive paperweight. Hoping they come back on the market at some point but at this time, early 2023, I do NOT recommend buying. Very very disappointed after going through the whole setup to find this out.

Gave printer a low rating so I could warn folks. Dont get me wrong printer works awesome in all ways. That said, the ink cartridges didnt make it a year. Make sure you order extra as for some reason theyre odd.

Used it for the first time today. The setup was very much easy and straightforward. Printing quality is nice.

My old printer had a manual paper feed. This one does not and I miss it. Otherwise its an improvement.

I would say Im adept at most printers but in no way shape or form am I an expert. I used to work for Staples so I knew one of the printers I wanted to acquire would be Brother. Theyre one of the best when concerning ink conservation as well as being great at all-in-one printers. With most of the models you get a good amount of features at the price its on the market for. I feel like I lucked out with this printer model. Its super simple to set up, my PC did the majority of the work for me (albeit I did have a little trouble getting my PC to recognize the new printer) Couldnt be happier with this device. Gets the job done, rather sufficient with ink and its not entirely that loud so big plus.

Youve all heard After the sale, its the service that counts! The printer gives very nice output, WHEN it works! Im on my SECOND unit, having replaced the first due to connectivity issues. 1) However, the scanning feature is fair at best. What really stinks is that they have REMOVED several features from the scan menu, such as Continuous Scan and Cropping. Why, WHY!!??!! 2) Whats even more annoying is the incredible incompetence of the support staff. Last night, the first agent i spoke with put me on hold for a loooooong time without even telling me she was going to do so. Finally, i had to disconnect. When i called back, I told the agent THREE times i had a scanning issue, not a printing issue. Yet, he insisted on taking me thru print diagnostics. He was so incompetent that the supervisor that was monitoring the call relieved him of duty. Finally, it was ME that figured out what was wrong! She offered to send me a set of inks, but, conveniently, those are out of stock. I wasted two hours, if not more!!! And FINALLY, after making EXTREMELY SURE that my entries are correct, their website tells me my login credentials are invalid!! How sad, Brother USED to make good equipment.

Was searching for a new printer and wanted a BROTHER instead of what I have used for ages. This under $100 printer is perfect for me! In fact, I love it! Wireless, clear YouTube set up instructions, easy to set up, and is causing laziness in my life! I sit in my chair, with iPad in my lap and the J1010 prints. Who could have it so simple? I could not be more delighted by my purchase. Research your needs, wishes, and wants. This may be ideal for you! Hope so!

Replacing this with my other Brother printer that lasted 6 years. Im expecting it to last just as long, if not longer.
