Greater than one weekI purchased this printer for my elderly mother. I have owned several higher-end multi-function Brother printers that I loved. They were sturdy. This one is not. But the main problem is the TINY SCREEN intended to deliver important messages and the tiny corresponding keypad. It is horrid! Skip this model!

> 3 dayDO NOT BUY. The printer is nice, but you cannot find ink anywhere and there isnt a compatable ink available. REPEAT - DO NOT BUY.

> 3 dayThe only rating is one star but I would give a ZERO star if possible I signed up for the Brother printer ink subscription program on 2/14/23. I figured it would save me the time from having to buy ink - they would monitor my use and send refills when needed. I did not replace my store- bought ink cartridges at that time as they were brand new and I am not a wasteful person. I was working in my office today and the computer said I needed to replace the ink- I did and since my store bought ink was low I installed the subscription ink cartridges. I attempted to print but immediately received a message that I would now be charged for any additional printing!!!!! I had not used one drop of the subscription ink - how could I be charged for printing too much (over the 200 page limit). I had used entirely my own ink and my own paper, and now I was going to be charged - for what?????? It has taken 2 phone calls, numerous emails/chats, etc to resolve this issue. In the meantime I lost 1/2 day of productivity. To make matters worse since I cancelled the ink subscription immediately I tried to purchase black cartridge ink refills. I spent an additional 2 hours searching the entire internet and not one store had black ink cartridges for my model in stock. Not even the Brother store itself. This reeks of corporate fraud in charging people to simply use their own computer, their own ink and their own paper. Then when the person tries to buy ink outside of the subscription program it is not available - anywhere! This is not a company I would endorse or recommend to anyone who values their sanity. Is this even legal?

> 3 dayThe printer itself works fine. No issues there. However, now that I’ve run out of black ink, there isn’t a single black ink cartridge to be purchased in the United States. There are no aftermarket or refillable cartridges anywhere either. Buying this means you will be extorted into signing up for their expensive ink subscription. Buy something you can refill.
