> 24 hourThis is not my first Time owning this kit. For the first timer it can be nerve wrecking drilling into an engine block. If you do enough research to build confidence, read instructions, take your time you will do fine. I own a repair garage . we see the famous ford v8s and v10s on a regular basis. Without this kit it would take a good ten hours to rip the head off and repair and/or replace the heads and hundreds of dollars. I can now do it for less than two hundred dollar per cylinder. Same day repair. The innovation Calvin tools offers is great. Amazon gets it to my location same day so thats a plus too. If you work on Triton three valve engines this is a must have kit. There is also a two valve kit from calvin tools. Wish everyone well.

> 24 hourThe first time the plug blew out (2011 CVPI, 4.6L V8), I repaired with a heli-coil, which lasted about a year, then blew out again. The Cal-Van insert system is not only easier to install, but I expect the repair to be permanent this time. Well worth the added expense. The reason I rated the instructions at 4 stars is because they are so small, I could hardly read them or see the pictures. There are excellent videos on YouTube that show how to install the inserts. FordTechMakuloco is highly recommended.

> 24 hourGreat kit. Watch the you tube video by Ron Williams, step by step. If you don’t have a large air compressor it will take awhile because you will need to stop and let the air compressor build up pressure again. FYI: In Ron’s video, he stated that he charges $280 per cylinder.

> 24 hourDont waste your money buying any other kit. If your trying to figure out which kit you need for your triton pull a plug and look at the spark plug. If the threads are really long than you need the 3 valve kit. If your spark plugs threads are normal length sp413 motorcraft plugs, then this is the right kit. This kit does way more than other kits. It has a guide that fits in the hole that will ensure the drill and tap are done correctly. creates more threads unlike other kits making the repair stronger than before it broke. You will need a few tools and supplies to use the kit Special tools Air ratchet and 1/2 socket to run the drill and tap. Bore camera to inspect the cylinder. A modified air blower. I just use a piece of brake line attached to the blower so I can get deep into the cylinder to blow out metal shavings. 18mm socket and ratchet to turn the crank. ft lbs torque wrench to torque the inserts and plug down 17 ft-lbs Supplies antiseize for the spark plugs before threading them into the insert. high temp red lock tight to spread over the inserts outside threads. dielectric grease for the spark plug boot. Spark plug, and coil to replace the plug that blow out.
