I have had a 2003 Ford Expedition sitting on my lot for year with a missing spark plug that blew out. Someone had tried a repair once before that left this thing dead, and unrepairable. This product worked excellent on a 2004 Ford f150

Have a 2001 F150 5.4, my #6 cylinder spark plug shot out and the threads in the head were slim and would not hold a new spark plug. Although this is a spare truck in still very good condition I could not kick it to the curve. Saw videos and reviews on YouTube and decided to give it a try, after all what did I have to lose. Was simple and quick to use. Took about 20 minutes to cut and thread the new hole. Be sure to blow all shavings out, I had a small bore camera so I could look down inside the cylinder to see when the cylinder was clear of all shavings. This kit is designed specifically for the 1997 - 2003 v -6 & v-8 applications. Quality of the insert is 100% better than those heli coils you buy at the auto parts store. Heavy duty and should last indefinitely. I highly recommend it. Watch the videos before you order to make sure you are ready to take this on. Not hard but you will need a high output air compressor and air ratchet. Luckily I’m a retired mechanic and have a huge tool supply.

I researched these various tools after having a plug blow out on my 2004 Lincoln Town Car. Extremely well made and great heavy duty inserts. Do it once and do it right! Dont be cheap on this and have to do the job over again.

This kit fixes to last. Not like competitors cheap and thin inserts. Highly recommend

Used this on my 03 5.4. Worked like a dream. Well made and engineered. You pay a little more but its definitely worth it since you get a heavy duty insert for every plug (8).
