This is by far the best solution for Ford Triton spark plug blow outs. The instruction video is very helpful. The tool works great. Of course the passenger side near the firewall were tricky to access, but the tool does its job well. I highly recommend it

I cant say enough about this kit, when they say foolproof they meant it. I followed there instructions to the letter and the Expedition I fixed is running like a top. I ended up putting in 3 inserts, the plug that blew out while I was driving another spark plug that had been repaired with one of those $40 quick fixes that was also on its way to blowing out again. and when I took pictures of all 8 spark plug openings in the head I found a very distinct blistering around the spark plug seat with both bad plugs and a 3rd that just hadnt failed yet. You must have a Boroscope for this job and theyre cheap less than $20

The CalVan kit is worth it for the money. After you use it the first time may have some questions or doubts. There is a learning curve to use in this kit. I wanted to be sure that I got it right the first time because there are no do-overs with this kit. So make sure that you only use the clip on the tap. The one thats closest to the threads. When you use the reamer, go all the way to the bar to make sure that your through. And absolutely make sure that you have the Piston down as far as possible. And dont even try to vacuum out those shavings. Please use compressed air down into the cylinder. If you can, get a borescope. It makes your life a whole lot easier if you can find those shavings clear in the cylinder. You could cause some engine damage if you dont get those shavings out. Dont worry about it being perfect. Just make sure you get the majority out. Quality of the kit is good at least the ones that I have. The reamer up top threads or galled, but that part wont even touch the cutting material. I didnt use axle Grease or any grease of any kind. I do recommend, using engine oil. If you dont you can bind up the reamer and the tap. No reason to be taking that chance.
