> 24 hourWorked great on my 99 f150. Fixed my #7 plug. I used heavy red grease on bit and tap for chips and vacuum afterwards.

> 24 hourOver all easy to use however the tap did not have enough of a taper so it would not start. If I did not have a customer that needed his van I would have sent it back for that price one would expect it to be right. So instead I had no other choice but to add more of a taper on the grinding wheel. Worked perfect after that

> 24 hourI blew a spark plug in cylinder 4 near the firewall of my 2004 mustang gt. I bought a helicoil kit to patch things up like a band aid. That didnt last for long. So, I decided to shell out the big bucks for a true repair kit. I decided to go with this kit because several reviewers mentioned using it for their mustangs as well. The kit comes with all you need to accurately rethread a previously repaired hole. The thread inserts are excellent, theyre beefy and solid. They fit nice and snug in the tapped hole, with the help of some jb weld. I have yet to encounter any problems yet, if i do ill update.

> 24 hourEasy to use and works great! Giving 4 stars because the air plug that you use to put air through the motor had an odd sized fitting that wouldnt fit in any standard size air chuck. I had to cut a hose and push it up on the fitting and crank a hose clamp on it, but that worked. Making sure the valves are closed is highly important so -1 star for that. Watch the Ron Williams video on youtube. He actually uses this kit with the motor in the truck. Everything else was straight forward and easy to use.

> 24 hourWow!! How many words am I limited to here? Blew out a previously helicoiled spark plug in my 2010 F150 4.6 ...and of course, this is a construction work truck - I have no time for it to be out of service! No truck, no income! I was considering swapping out the head with a reman but that hardly ever goes well with me, then thought about a reman or new crate engine ( this has 208k miles on it)..all this lead to a lot of research looking for a solution. Fact: despite the fact that the plug itself has gobs of threads, Ford only uses 4.5 of them!!! And undertorques them at 12 ftlbs!!! No wonder _ a lot_ of folks experience a plug shooting out! Helicoils, usually an effective repair, don’t work here, because the only engage a few threads and have no head material that engages its locking mechanism. Calvan- a long time maker of automotive tools devised a complete repair kit that allows you to ream out the old threads, rethread to a larger diameter and install a stainless steel insert that uses about an inch of threads to hold it in place. Total time to install? About an hour for the first one ( this included a call to a great guy in SoCal who does nothing but these repairs, and has some specific additional advice- find him on you tube) and 25 minutes for the second . Caveats - gotta have a high torque 3/8 air ratchet; certainly some automotive skill, a feel for tools ...and some machining experience is helpful - you cannot be ham handed with this! The cost of the kit, which will do 8 holes, about $275 is very reasonable given the cost of going other routes, and it’s of a machinist quality. What a lifesaver!!!! Has 5k on the repair now....

> 24 hourWorked great on my 2002 F250 V10. Had a spark plug blow out that already had the smaller insert installed. It came out of the head with the spark plug.
