> 3 daybut great quality, used it on 99 f250 SD, 5.4 engine, great tool to have in your shop, will help you out of a jam. ever had a blown spark plug. this is the only tool to have. it will pay for itself from one use. if you have a shop, it will make you money, or save you money.

> 3 dayThis kit is the best one out there for sure. I would have given them 5 stars if they didnt still have quality control issues with the air connection for the hose. It would not fit ANY of my many air hose female connectors. The size of the connector is so odd that you wont find it in any American auto parts store or hardware store that I know of. Im a Quality Assurance Manager, so the fact that there have been MANY complaints about this and they have not corrected it, makes me wonder what other areas their quality control is lacking. With regard to the year of my vehicle, 2008, it must have an older engine. My best advice for anyone trying to figure out if this will work on your engine, examine your VIN #. It will tell you what engine you have and whether its a two valve or three valve. Just get your VIN # and do a search on Ford VINs.

> 3 dayCalvan makes the best kit for this and it did not disappoint. Make sure you buy high temp thread locker and a good air wand with this.

> 3 dayused this on a 4.6 2valve. truck had spit out a plug and the owner had installed a helicoil insert with the swag in top, knurled seat. that failed and spit both out busting another coil mount. didnt use an air ratchet on this, its aluminum, do it by hand so you can feel the threads being cut, my opinion there... the drill and tap guide makes this a breeze to line up properly. jb weld the threads but only threads, clean off excess before inserting. once inserted and tightened, fire her up and warm up then shut down. let cure overnight. re-torque if needed. the heat cycle helps it set right and tight. ta-da, you just fixed a failed insert.

13-06-2025The videos make it super simple to fix a blown out plug. I’ve used this now multiple times on my 1999 F350. Works great.

> 3 dayBought this kit when I pulled the heads on my truck to refurbish them. Had machine shop do the head work and when I got the heads back I installed all 8 sleeves in the heads. Ford should be held liable for such a inferior design, the spark plugs will blow out due to only having only 3/16 depth of threads in the head to hold the spark plug. You suck Ford, use the kit to bullet proof the heads on early model 5.4 Triton engines.
