The drill bit was dull. Wouldnt drill thru hot butter. The insert was too tall therefore causing the piston to contact the spark plug

I like the product. I only used one helicoil. I will install the other ones at a later time. Did fit well.

Saved my truck with this kit. Now Im just waiting for the next plug to launch out....knock on wood!! At least Ill be prepped this time!!

This is probably the best set available for 2v triton engines. Use with high heat locktite. The lip on the top of these prevents them from being able to enter the cylinder unlike some of the other brands.

drill bit was smaller than tap size. tap wont start because the hole is too small. Thought this was all in one kit. Im stuck

The tool set worked exactly as advertised. I used lesser tools than recommended and it still worked very well. At this posting, I have about 1000 miles on the repaired engine.

The kit worked really great once I figured out how to adapt the air hose to my compressor. The quick connect fitting they provide is unlike anything Ive ever seen and would not connect to my air hose . I went to six stores with no luck, and I eventually had to get some plumbing adapters from Lowes to adapt it to my normal fitting. The kit did not come with the circlip that keeps the tap from falling down into the engine. I ended up using a rubber O ring which worked very well. Overall, very happy, and I believe I saved a ton of money.

This is the most well-engineered solution for repairing blown out spark plugs in your Ford Triton (2V) motors! There are other, cheaper options, but they arent engineered for a long-term, better than new solution. This corrects a faulty Ford design by adding more spark plug threads and ensure retainability. The kit includes enough inserts for 8 cylinders. The components (drill bit, tap and sleeve) are all top notch. Using an electric ratchet, it took less than 45 seconds to drill the hole. It took another 4-5 minutes to carefully tap the hole. Thank you CalVan!
