Works as intended! My truck is back on the road thanks to this kit and a couple other tools I needed to get the job done (3/8” high torque right angle impact wrench, a bore scope and a blow gun with a long nozzle).

My 2001 Mustang GT blew a spark plug out of the head and this tool retapped the threads and got me back on the road. Included a quick and dirty how to DVD.

This method of repairing Plug Shooters is far superior to the cheap kits sold at auto parts stores. I have repaired several 5.4s with this kit or others like it and they all came out great, and without having to remove the cylinder head. Be sure to remove as much of the cuttings from the cylinder as possible to avoid damage.

This kit works very well, It is easy to use even for an 70+ year old fat guy! I am certain it is installing the inserts in a way that I expect is stronger than the factory new condition. Just be certain to torque the insert and plugs to 20 ft/lbs. Ford says 13 ft/lbs but that is not enough and the plugs will come loose and fail. Took me 35 minutes to repair one plug hole. Would definitely recommend this product.

The best spark plug bore repair tool! If you have repaired Ford modular spark plug threads before then you will love this tool. Drill bit and tap are high grade steel!

The tools and inserts were well made, the instructions were clear and easy to follow. Being careful to do each step correctly, taking my time. I was able to install a new thread insert in about one hour. If I do another, it will be faster.
