Stainless steel threaded insert not a Helicoil it’s a hat bushing design, so it bottoms out. Outstanding Quality fantastic engineering and design function. I am currently employed as a 30 year tenured Commercial Airline Mechanic. Trust my opinion and this post! Best Quality and definitely better than factory.

It did its job, in the pouring rain I had a new spark plug in took about 40 minuets.

Great kit, well made drill and tap, easy to understand directions. So far I have used three of the inserts as the engine spits out the plugs. Its a 45 min job if the sparkplug is easily accessible.

Love this set, saves a ton of money and comes with good directions. I had a problem with some inserts, left a message and had an email within an hour. They wanted my address so they could get the parts right out to me AND an apology. WOW, no hassle and a good product. I am a loyal customer and cant thank them enough.

Hubby purchased thru my account and it was scheduled to be delivered 1 week out. GREAT!! We needed it asap, so that was a bummer. Buuuuuut, the seller emailed me the next day and said he would overnight the package since he figured we might need it asap. Hubby was elated! All in all, it works like a gem. Hubby had no issues and the instructions are very simple and easy to follow. 10 stars for product and SELLER. Thank you, again!!

Liked the reamer and quality of the heilacoil . plugs loosen up and kit is the best for fixing a stripped plug hole in the head.

LOVED THE KIT WORKS AWSOME AND EASY TO USE AND WILL TELL PEOPLE ABOUT IT

At first I was a little skeptical, but once receiving the cal-van kit, I could see that it was definitely top-notch. I watched several YouTube videos on installation as well as the one provided by the company before installation . As you can see from the pictures, the original helicoil is on the left of the spark plug and the new cal-van insert is on the right ( its upside down on purpose and was installed the other way) you could see a huge difference in the quality and size. You can also see on the second picture that there is a chunk of head missing from the spark plug hole. That is my own fault due to installing two helicoils on top of each other. Unlike helicoil, the new calvan insert becomes one with the head using JB weld ( instructions state using JB weld . I have repaired and driven my F-150 5.4 l for approximately a month with no issues. It currently has 231,000 miles on it. I highly recommend this kit if you have a blown spark plug. Stay away from helicoils!

Opened the kit and it looked like the kit is used. Only 4 of the inserts worked with the spark plug. Not sure I would purchase from here. We will see if the inserts that I did use hold.
