This is the only thread tool kit I’!! Ever use

This kit, from start to finish just makes this job fool proof! I am a backyard mechanic but was a little hesitant to take on this project. But with this kit along with the addition of a $30 borescope, $15 long reach air nozzle, 6” rubber hose and two hose clamps… it was a breeze! I read through the amazon reviews and watched a very detailed youtube video so knew what to expect and how to use the clips correctly. I included a pic for an easy fix for the included air tool with the odd fitting. I just used a piece of rubber hose with two clamps and my fitting and it worked just fine.

Right tool for the job

Used the cheap inserts from the auto parts store first on my 2005 F150 CNG truck, it blew out with in a month. Then i heard about the CalVan set. At first i thought, this is expensive and didnt want to spend too much, but then again didnt want to change out the head. So ordered this tool set to give it a shot. Was easy to use, didnt have any problems drilling and tapping. Installed the insert like the instructions said, and havent had a problem since. And i drive the truck hard, over a hundred miles everyday. And wide open throttle at times either getting on the freeway, or passing slower vehicles. So im happy with the steel inserts, and didnt have to change the head out.

I have a 2001 Ford F250 that blew a plug out. Apparently, when I had my last tune-up, a spark plug was cross-threaded and was installed with only 2-3 threads inserted. The kit included everything I needed to get the job done. It helps if you have a scope to check to see if the piston is down. I got lucky and everything was good. The entire job took about 2 hours, mostly because I took my time. Thankful for the kit and dramatically cheaper than the $1200 - $6500 options quoted by a shop.

Great set and everything is included. It took 1hr but thats includes being extremely over cautious.

The quick connect for the cylinder leak tester wont connect to a standard fitting. Its not a standard 1/4 fitting or it would be easy to replace.

This kit is badass. Quickly repaired threads. No way to mess up with the guide. Sharp drill bit and tap.

Very nice well built kit easy too use don’t be scared pretty self explanatory to use make sure u have a bore scope and a air compressor to blow cylinder out have replaced multiple plugs in cars and still running strong with this kit

This is a great product, I blew a spark plug on my 2001 V-10 Excursion 1,500 miles from home ! I had the kit overnighted to my location and did the repair in the parking lot ( There are videos on YouTube that made the job super easy) This is the Only kit on the market that makes this a permanent repair.
